Kajian ini dijalankan bagi mengkaji aplikasi kognisi dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran di prasekolah bagi tunjang sains dan teknologi melalui Kaedah Hermeneutik. Kajian ini dijalankan secara kualitatif dengan menggunakan 14 buah Rancangan Pengajaran Harian (RPH) dari seorang guru praktikum. Kaedah Hermeneutik telah digunakan untuk menginterpretasi RPH bagi menganalisis aplikasi kognisi dalam komponen sains dan matematik yang diajar oleh guru praktikum. Hasil dapatan menunjukkan guru praktikum masih lagi kurang menerapkan aplikasi kognisi dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran di prasekolah berdasarkan tunjang sains dan teknologi. Kebanyakan aktiviti pengajaran dan pembelajaran serta alat bantu mengajar kurang memberi kesan terhadap proses kognisi kanak-kanak. Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia perlu menyediakan kursus tentang aplikasi kognisi untuk meningkatkan kemahiran mengajar di prasekolah..

This article describes the importance of three types of intelligence that should be possessed by teachers to transform themselves towards being "ideal‟ teachers. Three types of intelligence to be observed, adapted and applied by teachers to the students and society as a whole is the ability of: Cognitive integration of Intellectual Intelligence (IQ), Emotional Intelligence (EQ) and Spiritual Intelligence (SQ). This study aimed to analyze the progress of cognition process through physical and aesthetic development elements in teaching and learning for pre-school teacher. The data was obtained through a practical experience in a private kindergarten located at Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. The daily lesson plans and student work sheets for two months duration were studied to obtain and transcribe data into texts. With the help of Hermeneutics method, the data were analyzed and showed that pre-school teachers were capable of planning the daily lesson and effective teaching methods according to the level of a child’s development. This research also showed how the pre-school teachers applied the cognition process in teaching and learning activities. Studies showed that the pre-school teachers lacked in creativity in planning the daily lesson, particularly involving the physical and aesthetic development. Kajian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengajaran mata pelajaran Matematik ke arah aplikasi kognisi dalam Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Rendah (KSSR) di sebuah sekolah rendah melalui Kaedah Hermeneutik. Kajian ini melibatkan enam orang guru yang mengajar mata pelajaran Matematik KSSR di sebuah sekolah rendah yang terletak di Sungai Siput (U), daerah Kuala Kangsar. Sampel kajian adalah berdasarkan borang soal selidik yang diedarkan kepada mereka. Hasil kajian didapati terdapat tiga masalah utama yang dihadapi oleh murid, iaitu sukar memahami konsep matematik, sukar mengingati istilah atau kata kunci matematik dan juga masalah dalam penyelesaian masalah matematik. Guru juga menghadapi tiga masalah utama dalam pengajaran Matematik, iaitu bahan rujukan matematik kurang, guru tidak berpengalaman atau guru bukan opsyen Matematik dan masa pengajaran dan pembelajaran Matematik tidak mencukupi. In the teaching and learning of Malay language in schools, writing essays is an important component. In this study, six samples of good essays have been selected for analysis. Samples consist of students in Form 2 from a school Malaysia. Hermeneutics Pedagogical method is used to analyze student essays to identify styles of cognition and affection involved in essay writings. The results of hermeneutics pedagogy method give interpretations through style interpretation of cognition and affection experienced by students in the subconscious and conscious mind during essay writing. Results show that the students will be able to extract information and past experiences of long-term memory and short term memory assisted through the style of cognition and affection.
