| 2021 Article | Preschool teachers peer leadership readiness in mobilizing fun innovative inquiry in the New Horizon Kho, Fanny Chee Yuet The main purpose was to assess preschool teachers’ peer leadership readiness in mobilizing ‘Fly with virtual Peer-Led Fun Innovative Inquiry’ (Fly with v-PeLFII) whilst validating the effectiveness of ‘Fly with virtual Peer-Led Fun Innovative Inquiry Model’ (Fly with v-PeLFII Model). The 3-point likert scale survey instrument which consists of seven constructs were gathered from 35 preschool teachers who attended the ‘Fly with v-PeLFII 21’ virtual workshop. Comparative analysis of Pre-Test and Post-Test of ‘Fly with v-PeLFII Model’ and descriptive statistics were utilized to analyze the data. The increased percentage from Pre-Test to Post-Test within the range of 57.14 percent to 71.43 percent revealed that 35 preschool teachers from Perak are ready to lead their peer teachers in mobilizing fun innovative inquiry in the new horizon. The result also portrayed that the newly developed ‘Fly with v-PeLFII Model’ was an effective online fun innovative inquiry approach ..... 825 hits |

| 2021 Article | Development of genetic tools for protein overexpression from pseudomonas Wong, Chee Fah Overexpression of a number of industrially- and medically-important proteins is always a challenge for most researchers as genes from bacterial hosts especially from the opportunistic pathogen, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, as well as from other Pseudomonads were reported to be poorly expressed in E. coli. Examples continue to be published demonstrating that certain Pseudomonas proteins cannot be expressed at satisfactory levels in E. coli owing to their promoter variations, absence of specific molecular activators and poor protein translation. Nevertheless, the extension of E. coli-based technology to Pseudomonas can be used to overcome such barriers. In this chapter, the evolution and modification of genetic tools ranging from types of promoters, elements for interspecies transfer, origins of replications, regulatory genes, genes facilitating in genome integration and host strains, used in the construction of Escherichia-Pseudomonas shuttle expression vectors will be explored and discussed..... 809 hits |
| 2021 Article | The importance of puppet plays to children in disaster preparedness programmes Loy, Chee Luen In disaster preparedness programmes, puppet plays are an important therapeutic medium for children. Accordingly, this qualitative study was aimed to investigate the importance of puppet plays for children who were enrolled in the said programme. In-depth interviews were conducted on six respondents, two of whom were males included a school head, and a worker from the rehabilitation centre respectively. Meanwhile, the four remaining females included a teacher, two caretakers, and a disaster survivor among the disaster community. Following thematic analysis, it was found that the inclusion of puppet plays in a disaster preparedness programme not only educated nursery, kindergarten, and primary school children on disaster preparedness; they helped reduce the emotional impact caused by such untoward incidents as well. Hence, puppet plays can be useful in psychotherapy for children in such programmes.

| 2023 Article | Exploring the trend and potential distribution of chatbot in education: a systematic review Nee, Chee Ken This study reviews recently published scientific literature on the use of chatbot in education, in order to: (a) identify the potential contribution of the incorporation of chatbot as educational tool in educational institutions, (b) present a synthesis of the available empirical evidence on the educational effectiveness of chatbot as an educational tool, and (c) define future research perspectives concerning educational chatbot. From 369 sources, 25 studies on chatbots and their application in education were selected through a step?by?step procedure based on the guidelines of the modified PRISMA framework, using a set of predefined criteria between 2016 2021 in five prestigious databases (a) Ebscohost, (b) Emerald, (c) ScienceDirect, (d) SpringerLink, and (e) Scopus. For each article, we analyse the purpose of the study, the content to be taught with the aid of chatbot, the type of chatbot used, the research method used, and the sample characteristics (sample size, age range of studen..... 153 hits |
| 2023 Article | Trends on using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) for online learning: a bibliometric and content analysis Nee, Chee Ken The technology acceptance model (TAM) is an information systems model that models how consumers use and accept technology. Scholars have implemented TAM widely to examine the effectiveness and ease of use of online learning. Therefore, this analysis comprehensively analyses TAMs role in accepting online learning platforms by conducting bibliometric and content analysis based on the PRISMA framework. Insights into technology acceptance models were determined by bibliometrics analysis with VosViewer and content analysis. Methods: This study expanded all research from 2002 to 2020. A sum of 120 publications was analysed in January 2022 as documented in the Scopus database after applying the including and excluding criteria in addition to the manual evaluation. Results: This reviews findings identified the most compelling subjects covered by the journal. Most prolific countries, educational institutions, Journals, and authors were identified. Additionally, the results demonstrate several s..... 183 hits |
