Specialists in education and psychology see that the cognitive lag in the language is divided between the prevailing methodological stereotyping that reaches stagnation and the delivery of material to the learner's mind takes divergent forms, and cognitive learning falters. Therefore, the contemplator in teaching grammatical concepts finds an unsatisfactory reality, and there is a constant complaint about it. The philosophy of the school and the goals of education still depend on transferring information rather than focusing on generating it, which led to a low level of achievement in it. Kajian ini adalah untuk mengenal pasti hubungan di antara persepsi pelajar terhadap diri sendiri, keluarga dan sekolah dengan pencapaian dalam mata pelajaran matematik. Sejumlah 346 orang pelajar tingkatan empat dari empat buah sekolah di daerah Hulu Selangor terlibat sebagai responden dalam kajian ini. Kajian ini berbentuk kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Dapatan kajian diperoleh berdasarkan soal selidik yang dijawab oleh responden kajian. Kajian ini juga melibatkan tiga orang pelajar sebagai responden kajian untuk temu bual. Markah ujian Percubaan PMR bagi mata pelajaran matematik digunakan untuk mengukur pencapaian. Ujian Korelasi Pearson dan Ujian Regresi Pelbagai digunakan untuk menganalisis data.
