Does conformity occur during students decision making for their careers?

Abstract

Students between ages 13 to 18 years old are exposed to have career development assignments of life focused on the education field such as choosing majors or career fields. Students see career decision making is always accompanied by feelings of doubt, uncertainty, and even stress. In the end, students make their choice on careers by just following the decisions of their peers, which is not necessarily the right decision for them. Their decision taken can lead to career success. The purpose of this study to determine the effect of the conformity of students' decision making for their careers. The quantitative research methods are used where the samples are 136 students of class XII. Data are obtained from the Likert scale instrument and analyzed using regression analysis. The result shows there is influence between conformity and students’ decision making for their career. Abstract

The inclusiveness of education in terms of access and quality is one of the mandates of Law Number 20 of 2013 on the National Education System in Indonesia. Furthermore, a School Zoning System policy was born through the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture Number 20 of 2019. This research focuses on the school zoning system policy in Lampung Province, Indonesia. The aim is to determine the level of the implementation variable and the actor's role in school zoning system policies. This research type is descriptive qualitative, and the data was obtained from questionnaires, interviews, observation, and data processed using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. Kesan bimbingan kelompok REBT terhadap resilien dan daya tindak murid aktif sukan bermasalah disiplin

Abstract

Kajian eksperimental ini dijalankan bagi mengukur kesan Kaunseling Kelompok REBT terhadap resilien dan daya tindak murid aktif sukan yang terlibat dengan salah laku disiplin. Seramai 60 subjek (n=60) kajian dipilih secara pensampelan rawak bertujuan (purposive sampling) dan diagihkan secara rawak berpadanan kepada dua kumpulan iaitu kumpulan rawatan (30 orang) dan kumpulan kawalan (30 orang). Data kuantitatif ujian pra dan pos dikumpul menggunakan soal selidik Skala Daya Ketahanan (SDK) dan Inventori Strategi Daya Tindak (SDT) yang mempunyai nilai kesahan 0.741 (SDK) dan 0.769 (SDT) serta nilai kebolehpercayaan 0.65 (SDK) dan 0.86 (SDT). Seterusnya, data dianalisis secara deskriptif & inferensi melalui ujian statistik min, Ujian-t, Mancova dan Pos Hoc pada aras signifikan 0.05. Determination of bisphenol a and urid acid by zinc hydroxide sodium dodecyl sulfate bispyribac modified carbon paste electrode

Abstract

This study aims to develop a voltammetric sensors for the detection of bisphenol A (BPA) and uric acid (UA) using chitosan zinc hydroxide-sodium dodecyl sulfatebisyribac (ZHN-SDS-BP/Chi/MWCNT) modified multiwalled carbon nanotubes paste electrode and zinc hydroxide-sodium dodecyl sulfate-bisyribac (ZHN-SDSBP/ MWCNT) modified multiwalled carbon nanotubes paste electrodes. Transmission and scanning electron microscopes were used to examine the surface morphology of these nanocomposites. Cyclic voltammetry (CV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and square wave voltammetry (SWV) were used to study the electrochemical properties of these electrodes. Electrodes performance was optimized by evaluating the effects of composition ratio, pH of solution, type of supporting electrolyte and SWV parameters. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk meneroka pengaruh kelayakan guru terhadap kualiti pendidikan awal kanak-kanak di tadika swasta. Fokus utama kajian adalah untuk memahami pengalaman guru tadika yang tidak mempunyai kelayakan formal dalam Pendidikan Awal Kanak-kanak (PAKK), serta bagaimana kelayakan akademik dan pengalaman mereka mempengaruhi amalan pengajaran, pengurusan tingkah laku dan perkembangan pembelajaran kanak-kanak. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan reka bentuk kajian kes. Seramai tiga orang guru tadika swasta di kawasan Bandar Seri Botani, Ipoh, Perak dipilih sebagai peserta kajian melalui teknik persampelan bertujuan. Apakah bahan rakaman audio visual akan membawa posibiliti atau kekangan yang baru kepada pendidikan muzik tradisional di negara ini yang sedang mengalami masalah kekurangan tenaga pengajar? Untuk meneliti kesan instruksi audio visual, kajian ini telah menggunakan pendekatan kuasi eksperimental yang melibatkan eksperimen pengajaran, analisis bunyi, soal selidik serta diskripsi kelakuan. Seramai 20 orang pelajar untuk Kumpulan Eksperimen dan 20 orang pelajar lagi untuk Kumpulan Kawalan telah menyertai sesi eksperimen untuk mempelajari cara bermain melodi lagu Dikir Putri pada gereteh. Walaupun tiada perbezaan yang ketara antara corak kesalahan, kumpulan pelajar yang belajar melalui audio visual didapati melakukan lebih banyak kesalahan dari segi penguasaan nada. Namun mereka adalah lebih seimbang dari segi penguasaan masa; dan ini mencerminkan keperluan seseorang pelajar untuk menyesuaikan diri terhadap pengajaran yang ditayang.
