An exploratory study of a potential framework for Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA)

Abstract

The pursuit for higher degrees is accelerating in the country. With mushrooming foreign and local graduates from non-university and university status institutions, it is critical to explore the types of qualification awarded and the existing platform for recognition and accreditation purposes. The objectives of this study are: (i) to gather information with regard to current policies and practices pertaining to recognition and accreditation systems of the higher education sector, with specific reference to Malaysia and China (ii) to review the existing policy between accreditation and recognition agencies/ providers and (iii) to recommend best practices, guidelines and strategies for practical implementation in Malaysia. Service quality dimensions, perceive value and customer satisfaction: ABC relationship model testing

Abstract

The study was conducted to examine the effect of service quality and perceived value on customer satisfaction using a sample of 150 usable questionnaires gathered from undergraduate students in one public university in Sarawak, Malaysia. The outcomes of hierarchical regression analysis showed four important findings: firstly, relationship between perceive value and reliability significantly correlated with customer satisfaction. Secondly, relationship between perceive value and responsiveness significantly correlated with customer satisfaction. Thirdly, relationship between perceive value and assurance significantly correlated with customer satisfaction. Fourthly, relationship between perceive value and empathy significantly correlated with customer satisfaction. This result confirms that perceive value does act as a partial mediating variable in the service quality models of the organizational sample. Hubungan antara faktor demografi dan faktor prestasi terpilih dengan persepsi keberkesanan sistem penilaian prestasi dalam kalangan anggota Polis DiRaja Malaysia

Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan mengukur perbezaan dan hubungan di antara faktor-faktor demografi terpilih dan faktor-faktor penentu prestasi terpilih dengan persepsi keberkesanan sistem penilaian prestasi dalam kalangan anggota Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) di Ibupejabat Polis Daerah Kuching. Kajian ini berbentuk kuantitatif yang mempunyai populasi seramai 800 anggota polis. Seramai 260 anggota polis dipilih secara rawak sebagai responden dalam kajian ini. Data kajian telah dianalisis menggunakan IBM SPSS Versi 23.0. Hasil kajian mendapati tidak terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan antara jantina dan tempoh perkhidmatan terhadap persepsi keberkesanan sistem penilaian prestasi. Manakala, keputusan ujian Korelasi Pearson telah menunjukkan bahawa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan di antara lima faktor penentu terpilih iaitu ganjaran (r=0.299), budaya organisasi (r=0.378), pengendalian (r=0.166), komunikasi (r=0.360) dan latihan (r=0.533) dengan persepsi keberkesanan sistem penilaian prestasi. Kesedaran inovasi visualisasi dalam pendidikan asas sains komputer merujuk kepada penggunaan teknologi visual seperti animasi, grafik bergerak dan realiti tambahan untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran. Abstrak ini menekankan kepentingan kesedaran tentang kuasa visualisasi, yang semakin kritikal dalam era teknologi yang dominan. Beberapa aspek utama yang ditekankan termasuk keupayaan inovasi visualisasi untuk menyampaikan konsep yang kompleks dengan lebih mudah kepada pelajar, meningkatkan minat pelajar terhadap sains komputer dan menyediakan pelajar untuk tuntutan industri yang semakin bergantung kepada teknologi.
