Mitos tentang kanak-kanak dan ibu bapa dalam iklan produk susu formula di Malaysia

Abstract

Kajian ini memfokuskan kepada aspek kewujudan pelbagai tanda yang membawa makna menjurus kepada mitos tentang kanak-kanak dan ibubapa dalam iklan produk susu formula di Malaysia. Antara bentuk tanda yang diperolehi menerusi analisis ini adalah seperti imej, audio, animasi, serta frasa. Analisis yang dijalankan menggunakan kaedah analisis kandungan berdasarkan model teori semiotik yang diperkenalkan oleh ahli semiotik tersohor iaitu Roland Barthes. Model teori ini berperanan dalam mengenalpasti kewujudan tanda yang menjurus kepada dua bentuk makna iaitu konotasi dan denotasi yang terdapat di dalam tujuh iklan produk susu formula. Tujuh iklan dipilih secara kaedah yang hampir kepada teknik 'snowball' dan kesemua iklan tersebut diperolehi menerusi arkib video Youtube. Digital platforms are one of the technology adoption that is beginning to be used in most vocational colleges today. The design and development of a learning strategy to enhance students engagement in simultaneous equations: an evaluation viewpoint

Abstract

In the 21st century, teaching and learning mathematics courses witness significant expansion and development of technology use, which creates a shift from teacher-centred to student-centred learning engagement. Student engagement (SE) faces many challenges of poor performance and student difficulty in solving simultaneous equations involving indices (SEII), among others. This paper presents an evaluation viewpoint of the learning strategy (LS) with cooperative learning strategy (CLS) and GeoGebra (GG) integration to support SE in SEII. The LS employs the think-pair-share approach and the six (6) principles of learning phases associated with constructivism ideology. The discussion of the preliminary mathematical achievement test (MAT-test) from pre-and post-tests with 41 students who have learned SEII using the developed LS is also presented. Abstract

Konsep kesejahteraan merangkumi pelbagai dimensi, termasuk aspek mental/psikologi, fizikal, dan sosial. Salah satu dimensi kesejahteraan iaitu kesejahteraan emosi yang menerangkan konsep psikologi berkaitan dengan kepuasan hidup, tujuan, dan emosi positif. Dimensi kesejahteraan emosi ini amat kritikal terutamanya bagi murid berkeperluan pendidikan khas pasca Covid-19. Kajian ini merupakan kajian kualitatif menggunakan kaedah tinjauan literatur dengan merujuk bahan daripada sumber ilmiah. Objektif kajian berfokus kepada; (i) mengenal pasti perkaitan antara kesejahteraan emosi dan murid berkeperluan pendidikan khas, (ii) mengenal pasti isu kesejahteraan emosi bagi murid berkeperluan pendidikan khas pasca Covid-19. Optimization of solar hybrid gravity system with battery energy storage for elevation systems

Abstract

This research studies the performance and efficiency of a solar hybrid gravity system integrated with battery energy storage. The study aims to optimize the design using a 50-Watt Solar PV, an 18Ah SLA Battery, and a Water Gravity Energy Storage Tank. Energy consumption was evaluated using the SLA Battery, Solar PV, and a 22-Watt Water Pump at various tank heights to measure efficiency improvements and battery lifespan extension. The methodology involved three procedures with five data loggers: a flow meter, a pyranometer, and three unit Watt Meter. Initially, a fully charged SLA Battery was tested at different tank heights (1.5m to 3.5m) every 15 minutes. Subsequently, the 50-Watt Solar PV was tested directly at a 3-meter height. Lastly, the Solar Hybrid Gravity System with Battery Energy Storage was monitored for seven days at a 3-meter height. Abstract

This study aims to explore the issues associated with activity-based teaching in the context of teaching Chinese as a foreign language (TCFL) in Beijing. This study adopts a descriptive quantitative survey method. To identify the issues encountered by teachers in activity-based teaching, we administered a questionnaire to collect data. The survey includes three aspects: activity design, activity implementation, and activity evaluation. The sample for this study comprises 234 TCFL teachers in Beijing. Transforming inclusive digital pedagogy in Malaysian tertiary TVET: Adapting to a new educational landscape

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has greatly sped up the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in education. The aim is to create a more inclusive and fair system, especially in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) for individuals with special needs. This approach focuses on personalized learning, high-quality information, and employer involvement, even though it is challenging to replicate traditional classroom experiences. Using the fuzzy Delphi technique, the methodology adapts inclusive digital teaching to changing needs, stressing infrastructure, accessibility, personalized learning, digital skills development, and teacher capabilities. Malaysia is working to become a global leader in education by using ICT to support student-centered learning and develop digital skills, in line with the National Digital Policy.
