Amoebiasis, an enteric protozoan disease caused by Entamoeba histolytica, is a public health problem in many developing countries. Intestinal amoebiasis may produce symptoms such as colitis and dysentery; while extraintestinal amoebiasis commonly results in amoebic liver abscess (ALA). The commercial antigen detection tests for intestinal infection vary in their sensitivities and specificities; most of them use native parasite antigen extract which have specificity issues. Thus this study was aimed at improving the laboratory diagnosis of ALA and intestinal amoebiasis. Previously, pyruvate phosphate dikinase (PPDK) had been identified as a marker for detection of extraintestinal amoebiasis, thus the recombinant form of the protein (rPPDK) was used in this study to develop a rapid antibody dipstick test for ALA. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti hubungan antara Atribut Inovasi (AI), Kepimpinan Teknologi Guru (KTG) dan Integrasi Teknologi (IT) web di sekolah serta  pengaruh  AI sebagai  pengantara di antara KTG dan IT. Pendekatan kuantitatif dengan reka bentuk tinjauan telah digunakan  dalam kajian ini. Seramai 412 orang responden telah dipilih menggunakan dua peringkat persampelan  iaitu kluster dan berstrata. Sampel kajian terdiri daripada  guru- guru dari sekolah zon selatan  Semenanjung Malaysia yang dikategorikan sebagai lima bintang dalam  penarafan Smart School  Qualification Standards (SSQS). Tiga set instrumen iaitu National Educational Standards –  Administrator (NETS-A), Diffusion of Innovation dan Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge  (TPACK) telah digunakan dalam kajian ini. Entamoeba infection is still widespread in Malaysia’s rural area particularly among Orang Asli communities which usually associated with poverty and lack of sanitation. Due to scarce information on these Entamoeba infections in Slim River, Perak we conducted this study to investigate the prevalence and associated risk factors towards this infection. A total of 55 stool samples from voluntary participants with and without symptoms of amoebiasis were collected and examined using PCR technique. PCR analysis showed 16.4% stool samples were detected positive for Entamoeba spp., discriminated as 7.3% that were positive for E. histolytica and 9.1% for E. dispar. No E. moshkovskii was detected at all. Factors such as indiscriminate defecation, improper sewage disposal and not washing hand after playing with soil or gardening showed significant association with E. histolytica infection; while gastrointestinal symptom such as vomiting was associated with E. dispar infection. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji faktor-faktor keagresifan yang mempengaruhi penglibatan pasukan bola baling Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) di Kejohanan Terbuka UPSI 2019. Sampel kajian terdiri daripada 30 orang pemain bola baling pasukan UPSI (n=30; lelaki=15, perempuan=15) yang menyertai Kejohanan Terbuka UPSI 2019. Instrument yang digunakan untuk mengukur faktor keagresifan atlet adalah melalui borang soal selidik ‘The Judgments about Moral Behavior in Youth Sport Questionnaire’ (JAMBYSQ), yang menilai tahap perkembangan moral atlet, norma pasukan terhadap keagresifan, dan kemungkinan yang digambarkan sendiri untuk menyerang pihak lawan. The goal of higher education in Malaysia is to meet the country's demands to produce skilled and qualified human capital. These demands require competent and globally competitive human resources and in line with the local community's culture. Therefore, the admission of students with disabilities (SWDs) to tertiary education, especially in universities, will provide equal educational opportunities with other individuals to not feel excluded from the national stream of learning. Various initiatives have been undertaken at the international and local levels. However, enrolment among SWDs is still low compared to the overall enrollment in our local universities. Along with national agendas such as the Wawasan Kemakmuran Bersama 2030 and Rancangan Malaysia Ke-12, universities are also seen to play an essential role in providing support for SWDs. The purpose of this research was to design, simulate and optimize a 4-band radio frequency energy harvesting (RFEH) network circuit using the Keysight Technologies Advanced Design System (ADS) design and simulation software used for low power applications. The RF bands used for this study were Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) (950MHz, 1850MHz, 2150MHz) and Wireless Fidelity (Wi- Fi) (5000MHz). Smith chart was employed to design the impedance matching circuit to match the source impedance (Zin) and the load impedance (Zload) to minimize the signal reflection (return loss) and maximize the power transfer. The impedances were matched at the desired radio frequency (RF) operating frequency. A single, two and three-stage voltage multipliers were simulated to obtain the output impedance at 4-band RF frequencies with the source impedance set to 50 ohms. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pelaksanaan pengajaran dan pembelajaran Al- Quran menggunakan Kaedah Quran Isyarat bagi komuniti OKU masalah pendengaran di Persatuan Orang Pekak Pulau Pinang. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kaedah kualitatif berbentuk temu bual. Seramai 7 orang responden telah ditemu bual dan data dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik. Dapatan kajian mendapati bahawa Kaedah Quran Isyarat menggunakan sistem ujian kognitif, teknik penghuraian, diberikan nota beserta latihan. Tempoh pengajaran kelas singkat, tiada pemilihan pelajar dan pengajaran yang diterapkan mudah difahami serta seronok. Terdapat masalah dan cabaran bagi Kaedah Quran Isyarat seperti masalah kehadiran, masalah kerjasama pelajar, saiz kelas serta kelengkapan kelas tidak mencukupi dan perlu menambah baik latihan. Bagi keberkesanan, terdapat ujian keberkesanan Kaedah Quran Isyarat, pelajar yang mampu mengamalkan Kaedah Quran Isyarat tanpa bantuan dan pelajar yang mampu mengajar Kaedah Quran Isyara.....

Autistic traits (ATs) describe characteristics and features associated with autism, which are thought to be continuously distributed in the general population. Exploration of ATs in the general population is important as it can inform the understanding of both autistic and non-autistic populations. Extending this idea, an understanding of the distribution of ATs within certain environments and settings may be useful in developing strategies for supporting those with specific needs associated with their level of ATs. ATs are divided into social behavior (with sub-factors of social skills, routine, switching, and imagination) and fascination with numbers or patterns. Newcastle disease virus (NOV) is the only member of the genus Avulavirus of the family  Paramyxoviridae. NOV causes a respiratory disease in birds known as Newcastle disease (ND) which  may result in high mortality in susceptible hosts such as chickens leading to substantial loss in  the poultry industry. Recent outbreak has been reported in many countries including Malaysia. The  continuing treat of ND to the poultry industry requires routine testing through development of  better diagnostic tools.
