Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji keberkesanan penggunaan kaedah pembelajaran kooperatif teknik jigsaw terhadap pencapaian pelajar dalam mata pelajaran Matematik. Rekabentuk kajian ini adalah berbentuk kuantitatif yang menggunakan kajian kuasi eksperimen. Data pencapaian pelajar dikumpul dengan menggunakan ujian pra dan ujian pos. Sampel juga diambil secara rawak daripada 60 orang pelajar Tingkatan 2 di sebuah sekolah di Pulau Pinang. Pelajar diberikan ujian pra untuk menguji pengetahuan sedia ada pelajar. Kemudian pelajar dibahagikan kepada dua kumpulan sama rata iaitu 30 orang pelajar untuk kumpulan kawalan dan 30 orang pelajar untuk kumpulan eksperimen. Perbezaan min pencapaian pelajar dianalisis dengan menggunakan ujian-t. Hasil kajian menunjukkan teknik jigsaw dapat meningkatkan pencapaian pelajar. Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan mengenal pasti, menganalisis dan mengkaji inovasi penggunaan rangkaian sosial Facebook sebagai satu daripada media dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran Pendidikan Seni Visual. Penggunaan Facebook adalah berasaskan Teori Connectivism. Gabungan kaedah pembelajaran konvensional dengan Facebook dapat membuat perubahan pada dunia pendidikan dengan menerapkan elemen minat murid seharian iaitu melayari rangkaian sosial seperti Facebook. Pendekatan ini harus diterapkan dalam sistem pendidikan sebagai satu daripada alat bantu mengajar, di mana ianya tidak terbatas hanya di dalam bilik darjah sahaja. An economic assessment of the coastal tourist area in Pasir Bogak beach, Pangkor Island using the Travel Cost Method (TCM)

Abstract

A coastal tourist area is a natural resource of non-market goods where its economic value is important to assess and should be calculated due to the available resources to maintain for further generation use. The economic value of coastal tourist area was determined by the willingness to pay (WTP) among the tourist to assess to the tourist site. This article aims to determine the economic value of coastal tourist area in Pasir Bogak beach, Pangkor Island using Travel Cost Method (TCM). By adopting the travel cost method (TCM), the individual travel costs and expenses paid by local tourists for their visit to the coastal tourist area in Pasir Bogak beach were measured. A total of 64 local tourists were selected as respondents of the survey method. The findings suggested that the mean of the total expenses paid by an individual tourist for the duration of between two to three days stay in Pasir Bogak Beach was around RM 219.39 per visit. Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan mengenalpasti pengaruh faktor kos, ekonomi dan sosial terhadap kebarangkalian lawatan dalam kalangan pelancong domestik ke Pantai Teluk Nipah, Pulau Pangkor. Oleh itu, kajian ini menggunakan Kaedah Kos Perjalanan Individu (ITCM) sebagai alat untuk mengira nilai ekonomi kawasan pelancongan pinggir pantai berdasarkan perbelanjaan individu pelancong. Dengan menggunakan pensampelan bertujuan, sebanyak 168 soal selidik diedarkan dalam kalangan pelancong tempatan yang telah bermalam di Pulau Pangkor pada 23 hingga 27 Disember 2017. Penggunaan model kajian diadaptasi daripada kajian Raziah (2003) yang mana model sebelum ini adalah daripada Jamal & Redzuan (1997). Namun dalam kajian ini, terdapat beberapa item pembolehubah yang ditambah seperti kos cenderamata, kos internet, kos telefon dan kos perbelanjaan rekreasi. The education landscape has undergone several changes in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The transitions were described by past researcher as difficult, inconvenient, ineffective, time-consuming and energy consuming. Social entrepreneurship is an innovative approach to solving community problems. This social entrepreneurship approach is expected to be able to offer an alternative to providing sustainable employment opportunities to the disabled in Malaysia through the active involvement of SME traders in the social entrepreneurship movement. Traders are economic activists who have great potential to help improve the well-being of the disabled minority group who are facing employability problems considering that 19.3 percent of traders intend to hire more workers in the second quarter of 2022. Accordingly, the disabled group consisting of those with long-term physical deficiencies, mental, intellectual, or sensory needs to be considered to meet those needs. An investigation of stock price determinants: case of Malaysia

Abstract

Stock price is one of the most important leading indicators in the economy. It can be affected by a many factors including volatility of the market, current economic conditions and popularity of the company. Thus, stock price is an essential determinant of a country_s economic growth. The purpose of conducting this study is to examine the relationship between stock prices and selected variables namely exchange rate, inflation rate, interest rate, money supply, balance of trade, disposable income and gross domestic products. Quarterly data are used in this study ranges from 1999 to 2011. The statistical method used in this study is the multiple linear regression which is used in determining the relationship between dependent variable and independent variables. The findings of this study show that there are positive relationship between stock prices of the Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (KLCI) with the balance of trade and interest rate.
