This thesis investigates how Islam, culture, and gender intersect in Malay women's construction of their entrepreneurial identities. Interest in this research study grew out of my own experiences of working as an entrepreneur in Malaysia in 1996. Entrepreneurship has long been internationally recognised as an engine for economic growth and development, and this is equally the case in Malaysia. Yet research and theorising of entrepreneurial experiences remain largely rooted in traditional functionalist perspectives which tend to be androcentric, white, and Western in bias. These perspectives and have also limited the range of ways in which women's experiences of entrepreneurship have been defined and understood. This study built upon culture as a root metaphor perspective, an aspect of social constructionist theorising as a methodological framework to underpin the study. The government expenditure for the education sector had escalated over the period. Meanwhile, the increment in private cost, that is the cost borne by parents cannot be fully determined due to the unavailability of a comprehensive assessment. This study determined the private cost of education for primary school from Year 1 to Year 6 for a period of one school year. Private cost assessment is also done according to type of school, level of education and sosio economic factor. Apart from that, this study also looked into the parents perception towards the degree of burden incurred in private cost. This study utilized the "ingredient cost" method, whereas a set of questionaire was developed to elucidate the cost of schooling needs. The study sample comprised three groups, they were; parents of pupils from Sekolah Kebangsaan, Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina and Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil. Kajian ini adalah bertujuan mengenalpasti dan menganalisis karya ilustrasi yang dihasilkan oleh Abdullah Ariff. Kaedah kualitatif dengan pendekatan historikal dan eksplorasi telah digunakan dalam kajian ini. Data dianalisis secara induktif menggunakan teori semiotik. Hasil daripada kajian ini mendapati karya ilustrasi berkenaan telah diterbitkan dalam pelbagai bentuk media cetak dari tahun 1932 sehingga tahun 1959. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa karya ilustrasi berkenaan berupaya menghuraikan makna, tema dan persoalan yang cuba digarap oleh ilustratur, bersesuaian dengan pelbagai situasi dan khalayak pada zaman berkenaan. The main objective of this research is to study the effectiveness of arts appreciation session at secondary school, which is to see the factors relating to students that drive the interest in implementing the appreciation session. The research was done based on 165 respondents who are form three students from 3 schools in the District of Tumpat. From the literature review being done, the researcher sees the main need of the arts appreciation session being implemented at school is to train students to think and communicate through the language of arts. At the same time, it encourages the sensitiveness of student's senses in having the attitude of accepting and rejecting as well as having practical taste on an object of art or other matters in their daily life. Kesenian tradisional dilihat semakin hilang ditenggelami era teknologi dan globalisasi masa kini. Ini amat kritikal kerana pengiat atau pewaris kesenian tradisional juga semakin berkurangan, sarna ada ditelan dek umur atau meninggal dunia. Adalah amat penting bagi kita memulihara dan memastikan kesenian tradisional warisan ini terus wujud. Ia melambangkan identiti Negara kita yang unik. Sebuah Negara majmuk yang mempunyai pelbagai kaum iaitu Melayu, Cina, India dan lain-lain kaum peribumi. This research was to identify the students' perception level towards visual arts in SMK Seri Bintang Selatan, a Smart School in Kuala Lumpur. The different perception of the students towards visual arts subject was done based on the chosen demographic traits. The research also aimed at determining if there was a significant relationship between students and the factors that motivate them, (teachers, parents, peers, tools, syllabus, and administration) and identified the main factors for this problem. The sampling for the research consists of 60 students from the selected school and instrument used was questionnaire which comprised of two sections A and B. The section A consists of 15 questions pertaining demographic information of the students and items to measure students' perception. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi salah laku seksual dalam kalangan pelajar sekolah menengah. Kajian menggunakan reka bentuk kaedah tinjauan dan kajian kes. Data dikumpul melalui soal selidik, temu bual, pemerhatian dan analisis dokumen. Seramai 397 responden telah menjawab soal selidik. Data soal selidik dianalisis secara deskriptif. Dapatan soal selidik menunjukkan bahawa faktor yang mempengaruhi salah laku seksual dalam kalangan pelajar sekolah menengah ialah keluarga (Min = 2.780, SP = 0.572), pengalaman seksual, (Min = 2.555, SP = 0.412), rakan sebaya (Min = 2.588, SP = 0.436), media letronik (Min = 1.560, SP = 0.451), dan masyarakat (Min = 1.836, SP = 0.519). This reasearch is done with the aim to study mural art progress at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Badak. Early observation, researcher found a gap that compelled the researcher to administer a study investigating possible effect on mural painting and students' appreciation of visual art. Further reading on the topic revealed that experience is one of educating process. Mural painting at school provides a visual experience for the students. This study examines how far mural painting at school help to improve visual art curriculum. 39 students, a teacher, and a school admistrator involve in this study. Researcher interviewed 5 from 1 to form 5 students. The interview sessions were held in front of mural painting in order to see students' ability to interact with art work. Kajian ini merupakan satu kajian kualitatif yang menggunakan kaedah kajian kes. Kajian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengkaji pelaksanaan pengajaran muzik di sekolah rendah. Kajian ini akan meneliti adakah pelaksanaan pengajaran muzik di sekolah rendah menepati dasar yang telah ditetapkan oleh Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia? Hal ini dikatakan demikian kerana sebahagian besar pelajar yang meneruskan pembelajaran pada peringkat sekolah menengah didapati tidak menguasai kemahiran-kemahiran muzik yang sepatutnya dikuasai oleh mereka ketika berada pada peringkat sekolah rendah.
