Despite a pool of pedagogical tools and ideas available to teach writing creatively, some teachers still lack creativity skills and knowledge to adopt, integrate, and apply teaching strategies to boost students' interest and writing skills. A preliminary qualitative study was conducted among 4 ESL participants in secondary schools in Selangor to assist in the analysis phase of the actual module development project. The main objective of this study was to describe the challenges faced by teachers to teach writing creatively. Zamzana Zamzamir @ Zamzamin
This study aims to analyze the relationship between environmental performance and carbon emission disclosure to share returns. To test our hypotheses, we using 130 firm-year observations, manufacture listed firms in Indonesia Stock Exchange that included in PROPER assessment from 2013 to 2016. Ordinary least square regression result shows that environmental performance does not have a relationship to share return, while carbon emission disclosure has a positive relationship to share return. These results indicate that, in general, the market will respond to information as a particular signal toward an event that affects the firm's value, which reflected by the firm's share price. This study is crucial for the investor to consider non-financial factors such as corporate social responsibility disclosure and environmental performance in the context of select a proper investment. ? 2021 RIGEO. Dawud al-Fatanis thoughts on marriage in Iḍaḥu l-Bab li-Muridi l-Nikaḥ bi-l-Ṣawab
Zanariah Noor
This paper examines Sheikh Dawud al-Fatani's ?d?hu l-b?b li-mur?di l-nik?h bi-l-saw?b (?Explanation of the chapter for the one who desires a good marriage?), which outlines his understanding and mastery of the jurisprudence of Islamic family law. Al-Fatani is a renowned nineteenth-century Malay Muslim scholar, and his work is widely referred to in Islamic education institutions in the region. A close scrutiny of ?d?hu l-b?b offers a profound understanding of nineteenth-century Malay Muslims' view of the institution of marriage. The foci of this paper include the general concept of marriage in Islam; guidelines on spouse selection; the obligations of both husband and wife; and the law on inter-religious marriage. In summary, al-Fatani shows that marriage requires a meticulous consideration of all parties involved; after all, family is a paramount social unit that needs to be preserved to ensure stability in the development of a society. ? Data visualization for distribution of people with disabilities
Zirawani Baharum
Data visualizations make data easier for the human brain to understand, and visualization also makes it easier to detect patterns, trends, and styles in groups of data. With the development of the data visualization, more and more data which contains the information of disabled population has been collected. However, researchers have pointed out some problems with visualizing data especially using traditional methods. Therefore, this study aimed to develop a web-based system for data visualization of disabled people distribution in Kuala Selangor, Selangor, Malaysia. Prototyping methodology was chosen in order to develop the web-based system. The results show two main interfaces of the web system which are the admin module and user module. Users may see a specific area, type of disabled people categories and the number of disabled people in the located area from the Google Map. This web system is hope to help public in identifying disabled people location using data visualization techn.....

Cytotoxicity effect of natural and synthetic girinimbines and their derivatives against human lung cancer cell lines A549
Siti Mariam Mohd Nor
The present study was designed to evaluate the anticancer properties of girinimbine and its derivatives. Two different routes for the synthesis of girinimbine involving a two-step reaction or a one-pot reaction were studied. Girinimbine was synthesised through metal-catalysed heterocoupling, indole ring closure, ether formation, and Claisen cyclisation. Girinimbine derivatives were prepared by the semi-synthesis of isolated girinimbine from Murraya koenigii through alkylation or acylation reactions. Natural and synthetic girinimbines, five derivatives of N-substituted girinimbine, and three intermediates from the synthesis of girinimbine were evaluated for cytotoxicity activity against human lung cancer (A549) and normal lung (MRC-5) cell lines. The structures of all the synthesised compounds were confirmed by spectroscopic analysis and comparison with published data. The cytotoxicity assay showed that the natural girinimbine and nitrobiphenyl intermediate exhibited high toxicity (IC50.....

Cytotoxic triterpenoids from Chisocheton pentandrus
Supratman, Unang
Eleven undescribed triterpenoids (pentandrucines A to K) were isolated from the n-hexane extract of the stem bark of Chisocheton pentandrus (Blanco) Merr. These comprised ten undescribed dammarane-type triterpenoids and one undescribed apotirucallane-type triterpenoid. Additionally, two dammarane-type triterpenoids, four apotirucallane-type triterpenoids and two tirucallane-type triterpenoids were also isolated. The chemical structures of pentandrucine A-K, were fully elucidated using 1D and 2D-NMR, and high resolution MS. All of the compounds were evaluated for cytotoxic activity against MCF-7 breast cancer cells in vitro. Melianodiol proved to be the most active with an IC50 of 16.84 ?M comparing favourably with Cisplatin (13.2 ?M). ? 2021 The Author(s)..

Current status of solar-assisted greenhouse drying systems for drying industry (food materials and agricultural crops)
Ahmad Fudholi
Solar energy has long been utilised in crop conservation. The use of solar dryers as a drying method overcomes the drawbacks of the traditional approach to drying crops under the sun. Previous studies were coherently described and focused on the development and thermal convection of greenhouse dryers, structural analysis, crops cultivation for offering choices to reader about solar greenhouse dryers in agriculture. Based on the previous related studies, the current work proposes an evolve and detail review of solar-assisted greenhouse dryers, namely, passive dryers, active dryers and hybrid dryers, from the aspects of system performance, collector performance and the drying characteristics of various crops. Drying crops in a solar greenhouse dryer protects crops from insects, rain and dust. Thus, these dryers are preferred in natural and conventional drying. This review provides a satisfactory guide for researchers to compare, develop and improve solar greenhouse drying systems to achi.....
