Sedentary lifestyle implication on cardio-autonomic function and adaptation to archery as a reversible intervention
Mohd Azrul Anuar Zolkafi
The study's objectives were to investigate the effects of a 12-week sedentary lifestyle on heart rate variability (HRV) and the effectiveness of archery as an intervention in a sedentary young population. 34 young people were divided into the sedentary group (SG) and the archery group at random (IG). While IG underwent a 12-week archery intervention with three sessions per week, SG was counselled to maintain their current way of life. At baseline, week eight, and week twelve of the intervention, two baroreflex tests—the Valsalva Manoeuvre Test (VMT) and the Orthostatic Tolerance Test—were used to assess HRV characteristics (OTT). The HRV parameters were determined using an Actiheart device. The SDNN and LF/HF ratio for Valsalva Manoeuvre Test (VMT) and Orthostatic Tolerance Test (OTT) showed gradual improvement from baseline, Week 8 and Week 12. SDNN parameters improve between +3% and +6.3% meanwhile SG showed a reduction at -0.5% and -3.5%. LF, HF, and LF/HF ratio readings also in.....

Effects of the FIFA 11+ injury prevention programme on muscle strength and landing biomechanical markers of ACL injury during fatigue among youth soccer players
Mohd Azrul Anuar bin Zolkafi
Study aim: This study aimed to investigate the effect of the FIFA 11+ injury prevention programme on strength and on muscle strength and landing biomechanical markers of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury during fatigue among youth recreational soccer players. Material and methods: Thirty volunteer participants were assigned to the intervention group (n = 15) and control group (n = 15). The intervention group performed the FIFA 11+ programme as a warm-up activities, while the control group performed unstructured warm-up twice per week for 8 weeks. The data measurements were taken before fatigue simulation (PRE), immediately after simulation (POST5), after 20 min (POST20), and 35 min (POST35) after simulation before and after the completion of the intervention. Five-minute fatigue simulation was used for fatigue induction. Muscle strength was measured using an isokinetic machine during concentric and eccentric contractions of the hamstrings and quadriceps. Meanwhile, landing biomec.....

Comparison of barriers to physical activity to levels of physical activity and psychological well-being based on the demographic environment in the vision impairment disability group
Mohd Azrul Anuar Zolkafi
Barriers to physical activity in vision impairment are associated with increased inactivity and psychological well-being problems. Previous research has only identified constraints in physical activity without conducting an in-depth analysis of physical activity levels and psychological well-being. This study aims to explore the differences in physical activity barriers based on three different demographic environments regarding physical activity levels and psychological well-being. The method used was quantitative inferential with a cross-sectional design approach involving 90 respondents registered with the Indonesia Association of the Blind. Data were collected using the Barrier Questionnaire for People with Vision Impairment (BPAQ-VI), the Psychological Well-Being Scale (PWBS), and General Practice Physical Activity (GPPAQ). The data was processed using the one-way ANOVA test and the Tukey HSD via SPSS version 26. The study's results stated differences in physical activity barriers.....
