| 2012 Article | Kepelbagaian kaedah pungutan zakat : analisis di pusat pungutan zakat - Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan dari tahun 2003-2009 Muhammad Fidlizan, Mohd Hussin Mohd Yahya, Awang Salwa Amirah, Tahir Mohamed Abdul Majid, This article aims to analyse the zakat payment method implemented by the Pusat Pungutan Zakat – Wilayah Persekutuan (PPZ-MAIWP). Based on data from 2003 to 2009, PPZ-MAIWP has recorded a positive trend of total annual zakat collection. This increasing trend was driven by the PPZ-MAIWP initiative to implement a variety of payment mechanisms in line with the needs and technological change. Thus, their initiatives can become a model to other charity institutions. Furthermore, it will also provide opportunities and facilitate Muslims in Malaysia fulfilling the Islamic pillars... 4488 hits |
| 2013 Article | Kajian terhadap penggunaan IBS dalam projek swasta di kawasan Lembah Klang Mohd Nawi Mohd Nasrun, Azhari Azman Mohamed Nor, Mohamad Kamar Kamarul Anuar, Abd Hamid Zuhairi, The construction sector based on industry or Industrialised Building System is a method of construction using the industrialised building materials at the manufacturing plant. This method can replace the conventional method which is able to reduces the amount of foreign labor as well as to improve the quality of construction, lower cost and reduction in construction time. This study is intended to create a guideline that can be used to encourage all private construction projects in the Klang Valley implement the IBS System in 2015. Therefore, this study was undertaken to assess the level of IBS usage in the building construction. There are about 400 private sector projects in the Klang Valley has been identified as a sample for this study in which 184 private projects are using IBS technology achieved a score of 55% and above. The findings of this study had identify the perceptions, barriers exist and the measures to be taken in the implementation and the criteria for developing a busi..... 3609 hits |
| 2014 Article | IBS survey 2010 drivers, barriers and critical success factors in adopting Industrialised Building System (IBS) construction by G7 contractors in Malaysia Mohamad Kamar Kamarul Anuar, Azman Mohamed Nor Azhari, Mohd Nawi Mohd Nasrun, The industrialised building system (IBS) survey has become an essential tool for ensuring the IBS Roadmap (2003 to 2010) meets its goals and target. As part of the process review survey, it also records the trend achievement of Malaysia in the usage of IBS in the building construction industry. The first and second IBS surveys were published in 2003 and 2005, respectively. Afterward, the IBS Roadmap’s midterm review was conducted. The third and the most recent IBS surveys were conducted in 2008 and 2010, respectively. This paper aims to highlight a part of the IBS survey report in 2010, which has been conducted to measure the drivers, barriers and the critical success factors of G7 contractors in adopting IBS construction. G7 is a Construction Industry Development Board contractor grade that can apply tender without limit. The importance of this paper is that it guides the policy and implementation strategy of IBS by G7 contractors. The survey shows that the acceptance, adoption, and..... 3198 hits |
| 2014 Article | Fragmentation issue in Malaysian Industrialised Building System (IBS) projects Mohd Nawi Mohd Nasrun, Lee Angela, Azman Mohamed Nor Azhari, Mohamad Kamar Kamarul Anuar, As a developing country, Malaysian is currently driving for implementing a new or modern construction method, the Industrialised Building System (IBS), as an alternative towards enhancing construction performance. Currently, most of the IBS project developments in Malaysia are still conducted by using the traditional construction process approach. This traditional construction process has been widely criticised for its fragmented approach to project delivery and its failure to form effective teams thus created a number of issues such as reworks, time delay, rising costs, lack of communication and coordination, and wastages. This paper through literature review aims to highlight this fragmentation issue and clarify how far it affects the process of IBS implementation. Suggestions on how an integrated approach in design and construction in order to minimise the fragmentation gaps will be concluded... 2885 hits |
| 2016 Article | Etching time effect on photoluminescence, porosity, surface morphology and conductivity of porous silicon Chan Kok Sheng, Wan Mohamed Zin Wan M. Khairul, Tham, Dwight, Jern Ee, Mohamad Isa Mohd Ikmar Nizam, Hassan Mohd Faiz, Recently, porous silicon (PS) gains a lot of research interest with its potential applications in optoelectronics, flat panel displays technology, and chemical sensor. In this work, PS was chemically etched on p-type silicon (Si) wafer by hydrofluoric acid (HF) with 40% nitric acid (HNO3) concentration at different etching time. The PS has porosity dependent on etching time in the range (38-60) % that gives orange-red photoluminescence (PL) between 657 nm to 661 nm. The PL intensity increases and the peak wavelength shows slight blue shift as etching time increases. The energy gap obtained are higher than pure Si (1.11eV). Meanwhile, the conductivity of the PS decreases as the porosity and energy gap increase... 2575 hits |
| 2015 Article | Identification of Tacca chantrieri (dioscoreaceae) through anatomical and morphological characters Mohd Noor Nor Nafizah, Wun Shun Jie, Mohamed Fatimah, Daud Norhayati, Alimon Hasimah, Anatomy and morphological characters were employed to identify four samples of Tacca sp. (Belimbing Tanah) from different localities in Perak. Anatomical characters including leaf epidermal characters, leaf venation, type of stomata and trichomes were investigated through transverse sections, epidermal peel and leaf clearing procedures. The outline and vascularization of the sections were also investigated. Result has shown that Tacca from four different localities in Perak were similar anatomically. However, morphologically these four species can be differentiated mostly based on their leaves, flowers and fruits. The leaf margins are slightly different of either entire or denticulate, and the colours of floral bracts are either purplish-black or purplish-black at the base gradually turns white to the apex. Eventhough they are slightly different morphologically, Tacca of Gunung Lang and Gunung Liang were suggested as T. chantrieri based on dichotomous key of Kalkman which emphasizes on..... 2409 hits |
