Long-memory is often observed in time series data. The existence of long-memory in a data set implies that the successive data points are strongly correlated i.e. they remain persistent for quite some time. A commonly used approach in modelling the time series data such as the Box and Jenkins models are no longer appropriate since the assumption of stationary is not satisfied. Thus, the scaling analysis is particularly suitable to be used for identifying the existence of long-memory as well as the extent of persistent data. In this study, an analysis was carried out on the observed daily mean per hour of ozone concentration that were available at six monitoring stations located in the urban areas of Peninsular Malaysia from 1998 to 2006. A new record of Sphaerolaimus macrocirculus (Filipjev 1918) in East Malaysian coastal water was described. The species was isolated from the muddy area of Muara Tebas, Sarawak, Malaysia. A total of 47 species of Sphaerolaimus have been reported worldwide. Samples of Sphaerolaimus macrocirculus were previously recorded in the sublittoral mud area of temperate country. S. macrocirculus possesses a stout body (1.1 – 1.6 mm; De Man ratios: a (body length/body width) = 16.8 – 27.5; b (body length/oesophagus length) = 2.3 – 4.3; c (body length/tail length) = 5.6 – 8.6). The circular amphid is very clear and situated at the base of the cephalic capsule. In male, the amphid ranged from 11.3 – 14.3 μm in diameter (mean = 12.7 ± 1.3) and 0.4 c.d. (corresponding diameter). In female, the amphid ranged from 7.2 – 9.4 μm in diameter (mean 7.8 ± 0.9) and 0.2 c.d. This study identifies the religious activities implemented in SABK as a medium for life-long learning and their impacts on students’ moral appreciation. This study involved 289 students from eight government-funded religious secondary schools in the State of Perak. The study adopts the quantitative method and the findings were analysed to obtain the frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. Moreover, the Pearson correlation test was used to examine the relationship between the variables. The study found the implementation of religious activities as a medium of lifelong learning is high (mean = 4.13, SP. = 0.48), while moral appreciation among students is at a moderate level (mean = 3.14, SP. = 0.35). The results show a significant relationship between religious activities conducted in schools with students' moral appreciation. Based on these findings, it is hoped that all parties can cooperate to support students’ spiritual and emotional growth through religious activitie.....

There are many challenges in developing long-term music education projects in Thailand such as human resource development, educational policies and financial problems. This study examined the various educational partnerships and workflow plan used to sustain long-term music education projects in Thailand. Findings were based upon the roles and responsibilities of members and the understanding of the workflow plan of music educational partnerships towards the sustainability of music projects. This qualitative research consists of in-depth interviews with 20 informants which comprised music educators, school principals, and community leaders. Two long-term music education projects were discussed and compared in this article.  An expert focus discussion group was used to evaluate the validity and reliability of this research. This research paper presents the outcome of a research conducted to assess and determine the Validity and Reliability coefficient of Creative Thinking Skills for Conceptual Engineering Design Module administered to engineering undergraduates at a private institution of higher learning. The Creative Thinking Skills Module features few proposed creative thinking tools such as Brain Sketching, Mind Maps and Morphological Analysis. The validity consists of module content validity, and session and activity validity, evaluated by a group of five experts. The Cronbach Alpha value was determined through conducting a pilot study in a local private university where mechanical engineering undergraduate underwent the module workshop and activity. The aim of this study was to measure the perspectives of early childhood teachers on the effectiveness of teaching vocabulary through music. The samples of the study were 30 early childhood teachers in Sarawak. Quantitative approach was used and the design of the study was an online survey. An instrument was developed which focuses on the investigating early childhood teachers’ perspectives on the effectiveness of teaching vocabulary through music.  The findings highlighted that the teachers emphasised the teaching of vocabulary in English language learning should be fun and engaging for the young English language learners. The implication of the study suggests that teachers must be professionally-trained to use nursery rhymes and songs in teaching vocabulary in early childhood classroom.  ..

The objective of this study was to design and develop a creative thinking skills module for engineering design process at tertiary level. The study also aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the developed module in improving the creative ability of the engineering undergraduates. The module was developed using the ADDIE instructional design model. Mixed method was utilised during the evaluation phase at the studied university. The participants were recruited from third year engineering students enrolled in an advanced engineering design related module. Quantitative and qualitative data were collected using Torrance Test of Creative Thinking, Creative Solution Diagnosis Scale and an open-ended questionnaire. The control group comprised 30 students while 32 students formed the intervention group.
