| 10261 | 2013 Thesis | Pembangunan dan penilaian modul perisian pengajaran berbantukan komputer (PBK) menggunakan Microsoft Power Point interaktif untuk kanak-kanak prasekolah Muhamad Fazli Mansor Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk membangunkan sebuah modul perisian pengajaran berbantukan komputer (PBK) menggunakan Microsoft Power Point interaktif untuk kanak-kanak prasekolah. Sampel dalam kajian ini terdiri daripada 70 orang guru yang mengajar kelas Prasekolah Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia. Dapatan kajian melalui statistik deskriptif menunjukkan tahap persetujuan terhadap Modul Perisian PBK yang dibina ini dengan min aspek multimedia interaktif (min = 4.16), unsur-unsur teori Pembelajaran Konstruktivisme (min = 4.15) dan penggabungjalinan Tunjang Komunikasi (min = 4.13), Tunjang Perkembangan Fizikal dan Estetika (min = 4.13) dan Tunjang Sains dan Teknologi (min = 4.09). Modul Perisian PBK Sayur-Sayuran yang dibina ini mengandungi elemen multimedia interaktif, unsur-unsur teori pembelajaran konstruktivisme dan gabung jalin Tunjang Komunikasi, Tunjang Perkembangan Fizikal dan Estetika dan Tunjang Sains dan Teknologi. | 10262 | 2014 Article | Managerial ownership and market-based performance indicators: extended agency theory Jusoh Mohd Abdullah, Katmun@Katmon Nooraisah, Ahamad Rapani Nor Hanani, Ismail Khalid, Our study empirically investigates the relationship between managerial ownership and company performance of public listed companies in Malaysia. Three years panel data of 730 Malaysian public listed companies were examined. Our findings demonstrated that managerial ownership had negative and significant relationship with Tobin’s Q and share price. Therefore, the involvement of management in monitoring and controlling activities fail to reduce agency conflict in the emerging economy. | 10263 | 2014 Thesis | Developing and evaluating interactive lecture demonstration manual Samickanoo , Glory This research aims to develop and evaluate an instructional manual for Interactive Lecture Demonstration using PASCO DataStudio.The manual developed is based on the ASSURE model and is evaluated in terms of its content, objectives, presentation and design. Other aspects include its suitability as an instructor’s reference and the setting and running of the demonstration. The manual was validated by two experts in the field of Physics who have prior experience using PASCO DataStudio. Using the survey method, the revised manual was evaluated by a group of 20 Physics teachers in the Ipoh area. They were selected through purposive sampling method where zero exposure to PASCO DataStudio was one of the selection criteria. Results show that both experts gave a positive evaluation on almost all aspects of the manual with a percentage agreement of 100% except for the aspect of setting and running of the demonstration, whereas the teachers gave a positive evaluation on all aspects of the manua..... 1162 hits |

A phenomenological approach was utilized and participants were selected from excellent and successful school managers through elite sampling. The data collection methods employed to achieve the purpose of the study were mainly in-depth interviews with the participants. The thematic findings which emerged from this data included four socialization stages namely: (1) Entry into Headship; (2) Identity Formation; (3) Making a Difference; and (4) Reformulation of Personal Values. The study concluded that the findings of this study provided a helpful guide for understanding school managers’ learning in the socialization process towards achieving better leadership and decision making. | 10267 | 2015 Article | Language identity: variability in phonology in different races in Malaysia Utumber Singh Jasmeet Kaur, Yusoff Nurulakyun, Abdul Malik Che Masnifa Atikah, The purpose of this study was to determine the variants of phonology sounds /θ/, /ð/, /ʃ/ and /tʃ/ among different races which are Malays, Chinese, Indians and other races such as Kayan, Melanau and Dusun. In Malaysia, the English language is the second official language and there are varieties on how people of different ethnicity pronounce certain words in their speech.This study was mainly based on the investigation on the pronunciation of words which had those sounds of 32 participants from Sultan Idris Education University. The first language of these participants varied as we have selected eight participants from each category of races. This study was conducted by adapting the variability model developed by William Labov (1970). The findings indicate that the majority of the participants had varieties in the pronunciation of /θ/ and /ð/ sounds. Among the types of zakat that closely related to every Muslim is Zakat Fitrah. The law of zakat fitrah is mandatory and has its own specific duration of payment. Thus, this article intends to analyze the extend of payment made by the Muslim society using the formal channel through Zakat Centre. Based on the amount of zakat fitrah collection, the rate of zakat fitrah and the number of Muslim in Malaysia, the finding of the study indicates that the amount of zakat fitrah is increasing each year. However, the result also finds that the payment of zakat through informal channel or direct distribution to receivers is also increasing.
