This paper investigates how a performer might engage with the construction of narrative experiences in and through the performance of the Second Movement of Schubert’s Piano Sonata in A Major, D959. The investigation is based on the understanding of the role of the performer as narrator in the performance of early nineteenth-century piano music in general and Schubert’s Piano Sonata in A Major, D959, in particular. In addition to considering aspects of the musical context in Schubert’s own time, this article will shed light on a ‘paradigm shift’ between what Lawrence Zbikowski termed ‘static form’ and ‘dynamic form’. The traditional large-scale form, such as sonata-form, represents the ‘static form’ which consists of balanced structure built from regular sub-units with clear harmonic connections between each other. A multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) paste electrode modified with zinc layered hydroxide-2(3 chlorophenoxy)propionate (ZLH-CPPA) nanocomposite was evaluated for the voltammetric determination of Cu(H). Experimental conditions were used percentage of modifier, supporting electrolyte, pH and scan rate. The optimum conditions of electrode were obtained with 2.5% (w/w) ZLHCPPA: MWCNT mass ratio using 4.0 x 10-3 M CH3COONa as supporting electrolyte with pH adjusted to 2.5 using CH3COOH and scan rate of 500 mVs-I. Under these conditions, the voltammetric response was linearly dependent on the Cu(II) concentration in the range of 1.0 x 10-9 - 1.0 x 10-6 M and 1.0 x 10-5 - 1.0 x 10-3 M with a limit of detection 1.0 x 10-10 M. Although technologies have rapidly advanced in the modern world, musicians and music scholars rarely understand new technologies and hence cannot comprehend the impact of recording technologies on their careers. Recordings of ethnic instruments that are available in the marketplace today show various types of timbre determined by different sampling rates, choice of microphone placements and acoustic environment. In many cases, the timbre produced in recordings of one ethnic instrument called sape is highly diversified. Music recordings available for ethnic instruments such as the sape of the Orang Ulu, Kenyah and other ethnic groups were manipulated either through the sound of the instrument itself or through the original recording that was extracted from various recording mediums, or recorded in a “mock-up” context created by producers. The aim of this research is to develop a computerised measurement system for acoustic characterisation of medical phantom. The method used is the adaptation of insertion technique and the introduction of the stepped shape design of sample into the system. The developed system consists of an ultrasonic pulser/receiver, two transducers, a digital oscilloscope, a thermometer and a computer. Special computer interfacing is used in the system software development. The resulted software display contains the connection and control panel, the display panel and the calculation panel. The block diagram for software algorithm contains the connection block, the signal acquisition display block, the analysis block and the help block. Historically, notation in Southeast Asia has been used for musical documentation and preservation rather than functioning as a medium for realising music during performance. As a consequence, today both heritage and hybrid forms of script such as Balinese ding dong notation and Javanese kepatihan cipher notation play only a minor role in the musical expression of this region’s predominantly aural-based forms. When musical notation is used, it may be found written on a variety of traditional and modern medium including palm leaves and plain paper to computer programs with specialised fonts or even cell phone text messages. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti bentuk interaksi, faktor yang mempengaruhi interaksi dan strategi yang digunakan oleh sekolah dalam meningkatkan interaksi pelajar. Kaedah kajian kes telah digunakan untuk meneroka isu kajian ini. Pengumpulan data kajian adalah melalui kaedah temu bual secara individu dan berkumpulan, pemerhatian serta analisis dokumen. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan terdapatnya lima bentuk interaksi sosial iaitu kerjasama, timbal balik, persaingan, konflik dan komunikasi bukan lisan. Walaupun wujud konflik dan stereotaip, namun pelajar masih menunjukkan sikap untuk mempelajari budaya dan menerima perbezaan yang terdapat antara etnik. Dapatan kajian turut menunjukkan bahawa terdapat faktor dalaman dan luaran sekolah yang mempengaruhi interaksi pelajar. Antara faktor dalaman adalah seperti pentadbiran sekolah, guru, persekitaran sekolah, sikap pelajar, rakan sebaya, sekolah rendah asal dan hobi pelajar. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menginterpretasi makna intrinsik dalam karya-karya catan Syed Ahmad Jamal antara tahun 1950an sehingga 2000.Sebanyak 13 catan telah dianalisis berdasarkan tema-tema tertentu.Aspek-aspek yang penting dalam kajian ini adalah tema,rupa bentuk,simbol dan warna. Kajian ini menggunakan pandekatan kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif.Kaedah pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah pemerhatian, temubual, dan analisis dokumen.Hasil kajian menunjukkan terdapat unsur-unsur alam semulajadi yang dekat dengan kesenian Melayu dijelmakan menerusi rupa bentuk dan symbol dalam catan.Nilai kepercayaan dan mitos masyarakat Melayu juga mempengaruhi catan Syed Ahmad Jamal, ia telah mewujudkan identiti beliau yang tersendiri terhadap gaya dan olahan idea yang dihasilkan. Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk menilai aktiviti kokurikulum sukan dan permainan yang dijalankan di lima buah Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan dalam daerah Kuala Terengganu Utara. Kajian ini adalah berbentuk kuantitatif. Kaedah tinjauan telah digunakan untuk mengumpul data dari 300 orang responden yang terdiri dari pelajar tingkatan empat. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensi iaitu Analisis Korelasi Pearson dan Analisis Regresi Berganda. Hasil dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa kesemua dimensi kajian berada pada tahap tinggi. Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan bagi kedua-dua dimensi, proses dan input terhadap keberkesanan pencapaian matlamat dan objektif aktiviti-aktiviti kokurikulum di sekolah kajian. Dapatan analisis regresi berganda menunjukkan faktor kemahiran guru, strategi pengajaran, kaedah pengajaran dan kesediaan pelajar mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan bagi dimensi input.
