Rapid changes are taking place in industry, the labor market, work to work organization. A doctoral music degree is a new degree in Thailand. Although the first PhD programme in music was established in 2005, there are only four universities that provide doctoral programmes in music in 2016. However, there are a couple of universities that plan to launch doctoral music programmes in the near future. If the number of doctoral programmes in music and the number of graduates has started to grow, it is important to consider the barriers to doctoral music student socialisation because they relate to the completion of the degree. This paper aims to investigate barriers that Thai doctoral music students encounter in doctoral socialisation. This leads to the main question: What are the barriers that Thai doctoral music students encounter in doctoral socialisation? Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti amalan penerapan nilai pendidikan umum oleh guru matematik dalam pengajaran penyelesaian masalah. Kaedah kualitatif digunakan dalam kajian ini yang melibatkan kajian kes. Sampel kajian melibatkan tiga orang guru matematik terlatih yang mengajar Tahun Lima dari sebuah sekolah rendah Tamil di daerah Hulu Selangor. Pemerhatian pengajaran terhadap peserta kajian telah dilakukan sebanyak tiga kali dan sesi temu bual telah diadakan sebelum dan selepas sesi pengajaran. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa guru mempunyai kefahaman yang setara mengenai nilai. Kesemua guru menganggap nilai yang diterapkan sebagai nilai pendidikan umum. Walaupun perancangan nilai tidak dinyatakan secara bertulis dalam rekod pengajaran harian guru tetapi ianya dinyatakan secara lisan ketika ditemu bual dalam sesi pra pengajaran. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti peranan pengurusan pengetua di Sekolah Agama Bantuan Kerajaan (SABK) terhadap dasar sekolah selamat berdasarkan peranannya sebagai penjaga (in loco parentis), penyelesai masalah, dan penghubung. Selain itu kajian bertujuan mengenal pasti hubungan antara setiap peranan pengurusan tersebut dengan tahap keselamatan sekolah. Kajian ini menggunakan soal selidik yang disesuaikan daripada Sistem Penarafan Keselamatan Sekolah, Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia. Data diperolehi dengan mengedarkan soal selidik kepada 217 responden dalam kalangan guru, kakitangan sekolah dan ahli jawatankuasa Persatuan Ibu Bapa dan Guru (pIBG) di SABK yang terpilih. Kekerapan, min dan peratusan digunakan untuk menganalisis dapatan bagi kesemua item yang dibangunkan. This paper investigates how a performer might engage with the construction of narrative experiences in and through the performance of the Second Movement of Schubert’s Piano Sonata in A Major, D959. The investigation is based on the understanding of the role of the performer as narrator in the performance of early nineteenth-century piano music in general and Schubert’s Piano Sonata in A Major, D959, in particular. In addition to considering aspects of the musical context in Schubert’s own time, this article will shed light on a ‘paradigm shift’ between what Lawrence Zbikowski termed ‘static form’ and ‘dynamic form’. A multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) paste electrode modified with zinc layered hydroxide-2(3 chlorophenoxy)propionate (ZLH-CPPA) nanocomposite was evaluated for the voltammetric determination of Cu(H). Experimental conditions were used percentage of modifier, supporting electrolyte, pH and scan rate. The optimum conditions of electrode were obtained with 2.5% (w/w) ZLHCPPA: MWCNT mass ratio using 4.0 x 10-3 M CH3COONa as supporting electrolyte with pH adjusted to 2.5 using CH3COOH and scan rate of 500 mVs-I. Under these conditions, the voltammetric response was linearly dependent on the Cu(II) concentration in the range of 1.0 x 10-9 - 1.0 x 10-6 M and 1.0 x 10-5 - 1.0 x 10-3 M with a limit of detection 1.0 x 10-10 M. Although technologies have rapidly advanced in the modern world, musicians and music scholars rarely understand new technologies and hence cannot comprehend the impact of recording technologies on their careers. Recordings of ethnic instruments that are available in the marketplace today show various types of timbre determined by different sampling rates, choice of microphone placements and acoustic environment. In many cases, the timbre produced in recordings of one ethnic instrument called sape is highly diversified. Music recordings available for ethnic instruments such as the sape of the Orang Ulu, Kenyah and other ethnic groups were manipulated either through the sound of the instrument itself or through the original recording that was extracted from various recording mediums, or recorded in a “mock-up” context created by producers. The aim of this research is to develop a computerised measurement system for acoustic characterisation of medical phantom. The method used is the adaptation of insertion technique and the introduction of the stepped shape design of sample into the system. The developed system consists of an ultrasonic pulser/receiver, two transducers, a digital oscilloscope, a thermometer and a computer. Special computer interfacing is used in the system software development. The resulted software display contains the connection and control panel, the display panel and the calculation panel.
