| 2921 | 2023 Article | An approach to automatic garbage detection framework designing using CNN Shazlyn Milleana Shaharudin This paper proposes a system for automatic detection of litter and garbage dumps in CCTV feeds with the help of deep learning implementations. The designed system named Greenlock scans and identifies entities that resemble an accumulation of garbage or a garbage dump in real time and alerts the respective authorities to deal with the issue by locating the point of origin. The entity is labelled as garbage if it passes a certain similarity threshold. ResNet-50 has been used for the training purpose alongside TensorFlow for mathematical operations for the neural network. Combined with a pre-existing CCTV surveillance system, this system has the capability to hugely minimize garbage management costs via the prevention of formation of big dumps. The automatic detection also saves the manpower required in manual surveillance and contributes towards healthy neighborhoods and cleaner cities. This article is also showing the comparison between applied various algorithms such as standard Tensor..... 226 hits |
| 2922 | 2023 Article | A user-priorities-based strategy for three-phase intelligent recommendation and negotiating agents for cloud services Muhamad Hariz Muhamad Adnan As the field of information technology expands, there is a huge need for cloud service providers (CSP). CSP's vast solutions and services support Cloud, IoT, Fog, and Edge computing. In today's competitive cloud market, customer satisfaction is critical more than ever. CSP and consumer satisfaction with service level agreement (SLA) fulfillment have always been given more attention. As a result of signing SLA and CSP agreements to supply resources in high demand, customers are now experiencing issues with resource delivery. Cloud and heterogeneous environments necessitate an intelligent recommender and negotiation agent model (IRNAM) to handle responsibilities in the current system. The Recommender system recommends CSP as per users' priorities, which eases the filtration process. The negotiation process provided by IRNAM ensures that users' choices are prioritized with maximum jobs to CSP. IRNAM keeps track of the most critical metrics and can reach decisions quickly and for the best ..... 543 hits |

Most caregivers often sacrifice a lot of time, energy and their own physical and emotional needs. MATERIALS AND METHOD: A cross sectional study was conducted among 156 caregivers of cancer patients who provided treatment and moral support to cancer patients at the Oncology clinic of Sultan Ismail Hospital (SIH), Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The Hospital Anxiety Depression Scale (HADS) was used to assess the depression and anxiety levels among the respondents. Data was analysed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences version 17.0 software. The P value of less than 0.5 was taken a significant. RESULTS: In general, there was moderate relationship between cancer caregivers and patients in term of emotional, care and patient treatment, but in some circumstances, caregivers were also exposed to risk during care period of cancer patients. | 2925 | 2023 Article | Challenges of ELT during the new normal: a case study of Malaysia, Turkey and Palestine Assaiqeli, Aladdin Following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in December 2019, which has since proved to be a pandemic of variants, the educational landscape has undergone a drastic transformation as educational institutions across the globe have shifted en masse into online learning, resulting in an unprecedented paradigm shift from on-campus face-to-face instruction to a remote teaching model. Pivotal and timely, this applied linguistic survey research, aimed to investigate this forced immersion into academic cyberspace and the challenges created by this emergency adoption of virtual education by exploring the experiences, challenges and perceptions of 50 English language faculty members affiliated with three universities in three different countries. The study sought to identify and document (1) the effectiveness of online teaching, (2) the difficulties of its implementation, (3) student interaction and engagement in the online environment, and (4) factors that could enhance its efficacy. | 2926 | 2023 Article | A markov switching approach in assessing oil price and stock market nexus in the last decade: the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic Phoong, Seuk Yen We revisit the oil price and stock market nexus by considering the impact of major economic shocks in the post-global financial crisis (GFC) scenario. Our breakpoint unit root test and Markov switching regression (MRS) analyses using West Texas Intermediate (WTI) oil price and Standard & Poors 500 (S&P 500) market index show that among the major economic events, the recent coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is the most significant contributor to market volatilities. Furthermore, our MRS results show that the relationship between oil price and the stock market is regime-dependent; the stock market experiences substantial and positive shocks in a volatile oil price regime. Our results provide valuable insights to investors and policymakers regarding risk management and financial market stability during economic crisis periods, specifically during the COVID-19 pandemic. | 2927 | 2023 Article | The design and development of Augmented Reality (AR) application for internet evolution learning topics Noor Hidayah Che Lah The education field has seen numerous revolutions and innovations that have altered the teaching and learning process through the emergence of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) which provides numerous benefits to both educators and students. However, there is concern that students' focus in the classroom becomes less due to the lack of pleasurable during the teaching and learning sessions. Thus, the existence of learning using Augmented Reality (AR) applications seems to help students improve their thinking skills in terms of cognitive as well as behaviorism. Therefore, this study proposed the Design and Development of an Augmented Reality (AR) Application for Internet Evolution Learning Topics known as AREvo. The methodology used in this study was based on design and development research (DDR) and ADDIE Model was used for designing and developing AREvo. Several platforms and software were used to develop AREvo. Several experts in the Creative Multimedia field from higher..... 492 hits |
