Factors that influence learning opportunities of participants in regular courses

Purpose – The objective of this research is to assess the correlation between the independent variables i.e., conduct of course, relationship between facilitators, content and materials with course supervisors, facilities and support service, personal beliefs, learning opportunity of the participants and their learning opportunity. Methodology – This study employs a longitudinal research comprising 582 from a total of 645 participants from fiscal year 2010/2011 to fiscal year 2019/2020. The sampling method used in this research is quota sampling. Findings - The findings of this research concluded that there is a significant relationship between the variables and the learning opportunities of the participants. Additionally, there are 3 factors that influence the learning opportunity for participants which are the conduct of course, content and materials, and personal beliefs while the other three factors were not affected. The study was conducted to obtain the validity and reliability of the health education assessment module needs analysis instrument among Kedah primary school teachers. This study aims to determine the need to develop a health education assessment module among primary school teachers who teach Health Education. The study uses design and development methods but has three phases. The technique is said to be multiple methods that can use any suitable form for specific phases. For the needs analysis phase, the researchers have used quantitative methods that have used questionnaires for data collection. The questionnaires were certified by one expert from the Malay Language working in a teacher education institute and three experts in the relevant fields of Health Education. Validity and reliability of Students Mathematical Process Rubric (Prom3) based on many-Facet Rasch Model (MRFM).

The objective of this research was to determine the validity of Students’ Mathematical Process Rubric (ProM3) using Many-Facet Rasch Model (MFRM). The data were gathered from 7 raters marking 188 scripts of Form 1 students from a number of boarding schools in the middle and northern zone of Malaysia. ProM3 Rubric was used to analyse students’ responses in problem solving and reflective writing tasks for 29 criteria, that is in five dimensions of the mathematical process, namely connection, representation, communication, reasoning and problem solving. MFRM was used to analyse the data to look into three facets; student ability, rater severity and item difficulty. The findings indicated that the accurate index measuring students’ ability facet was between -3.48 until 4.71 logit, raters’ severity facet between -0.59 until 0.74 logit, and items/criteria’s difficulty facet at -2.38 (problem identifying) until 1.45 (quantitative reasoning) logit. Since the beginning, they have taken the process to improve social development. The choices of language and determination of the characters used by Usman Awang reflect any ideas and strong critical thinking on Malay society, humanity facts that were colonized and defeated either by the real colonizers or the Malay elite themselves. Usability evaluation of a Virtual Reality Interactive Music Appreciation Module (E-Marz) for Secondary School

Advancement in Virtual Reality (VR) technology can be benefited for educational purposes. This article reports on a study undertaken to evaluate the usability of a Virtual Reality (VR) Interactive Music Appreciation Module (E-Marz) for the Lower Secondary School. The study has employed the Design and Development Research (DDR) which comprised of three different phases as its methodology. E-Marz was developed systematically based on the m-ADDIE Model which include the Evaluation Phase. The objective of the evaluation phase was to measure the level of usability of the module by using the System Usability Scale Questionnaire given to the field experts and the Post-Study System Usability Questionnaire given to students as the end users. Translation and validation of the Treatment Motivation Questionnaire (TMQ) to Malay Version

Introduction: Motivation plays a significant role in treating any illness, especially for patients with addiction problems. Moreover, motivation is a factor that influences patients to look for treatment possibilities, follow instructions of the treatment, and mainly make prosperous long-term changes. Objective: The purposes of this study are to translate and validate the Malay version of the Treatment Motivation Questionnaire (TMQ) among opioid use disorders in Methadone treatment. This questionnaire is to study patient's motivation for entering treatment. Method: Translation, back-translation, pilot testing, and validation of the final TMQ were all part of the four-phase technique for translating and validating generic questionnaires. The inter-correlation item and the Cronbach's alpha coefficient were used to assess the final TMQ's overall internal consistency. The improvisation in dialogue pronunciation will give significance based on the suitability of its application in teaching contexts. Copying, repetition, appreciation, action and reaction are the elements included in the techniques practised in acting. This study is fully dedicated to the implementation of dialogue pronunciation through improvisation technique which is often highlighted for the actors and actresses in acting. However, what goes unnoticed is the fact that the way a teacher delivers a lesson in a classroom has similarities in function and role as a stage performer. Voice is the main instrument which needs to be used during the whole lesson or performance. The use of multimedia courseware in teaching sign language to hearing impaired students

This quasi-experimental study was aimed to see the effect of using interactive multimedia software in teaching the Kod Tangan Bahasa Melayu (KTBM) to students with hearing impairments. In this study two types of software developed by the researcher have been used as teaching materials. The built-in multimedia is called Koswer Multimedia Interaktif Bahasa Melayu (KoMIBM) and Koswer Multimedia Bahasa Melayu (KoMBM). The respondents of the study consisted 60 students of year three and four from Sekolah Kebangsaan Pendidikan Khas program for hearing impairment in Malaysia. The data were collected through pre and posttest and analyzed using MANCOVA statistics. Mobile devices have turned into attractive educational learning tools. While the majority of prior study has largely focused on the benefits of mobile learning for students, there is currently a paucity of study on the usage of educational applications available on the market. Hence, this study attempts to explore Notability, an educational digital tool available in the iOS app store. This study used descriptive analysis to describe the idea of Notability and the qualities it provides. This study discovered that using Notability in calculus classes at the tertiary level is effective and provides an active learning environment. Furthermore, Notability provided instructors with the ability to deliver content quickly and effectively, whether synchronous or asynchronously. In addition, the Notability capabilities enable educators to employ technology tools and facilitate paperless classrooms.
