Pembangunan dan validasi model pengajaran dan pembelajaran matematik berasaskan metakognitif

The purposes of this study was to develop and to validate a model of metacognitive-based teaching and learning of mathematics and to analyze phases how to utilize student metacognitive in solving algebra problems. There are two phases in developing a model of metacognitive-based teaching and learning of mathematics. Phase 1 consists of four stages, namely: a) preliminary study, based on theoretical basis and previous studies; b) model planning, which consists of instrument planning and component of teaching and learning, and also a model book; c) realization; d) model validity, tryout, and refinement. Meanwhile, phase 2 covers the implementation of the developed model and the study into the prosedures of metacognitive treatment. The results show that the development of a model of metacognitive-based teaching and learning is valid, practical, and effective. Perisian geometer's sketchpad sebagai bahan interaktif dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran Matematik - kes tangen kepada bulatan

The aim of this research is to determined whether there is a difference on the students achievement through test score in Bulatan III: Tangen kepada Bulatan topics by using Geometer’s Sketchpad software compared to the conventional method of teaching and learning mathematics. Research also investigated the perception of the students and teachers towards the usage of GSP software. The experimental research was done during school hours. Samples of 70 respondents who were in Form 4 were divided into two groups where 35 students were in experiment group and 35 students in controlled group. This research uses a pre test and post test which consists of 20 objectives questions on Bulatan III: Tangen kepada Bulatan topics which can be answered within 40 minutes. This study is a survey to identify the usage of ICT in teaching and learning Mathematics in secondary schools in Batang Padang District, Perak. The aspects that identify are the interest of using ICT, usage of ICT equipment and the promblems of using ICT by the teachers in teaching and learning Mathematics. A total of 100 graduate and non graduate and also with experienced and less experienced teachers from ten schools in Batang Padang District were selected as samples for this study. The purpose of this study is to gauge the teachers interest on ICT, usage of ICT equipment and the problems they are facing when using ICT in teaching and learning Mathematics in school. For this purpose all samples were answered the questionares which were prepared by the reseacher. The aim of this research is to seek pre service and in service teachers’ perception towards quality of mathematics teachers in secondary school. The survey was done based on their knowledge of the subject contents, skills in the mathematics techniques and methods, good attitude and personality of teachers’ , cooperation with students, fellow teachers, parents’ and administration and also communication and efficient management system (process). 280 teachers in the pre service was chosen based on stratified random sampling and 172 in service mathematics teachers in the district of Batang Padang from 21 schools was selected as respondents. The data were analysed by using frequency and percentage, t-test, pair t-test, one way ANOVA and correlation. Perbezaan pencapaian berdasarkan jantina dalam peperiksaan Matematik UPSR

The purpose of the research is to study the differences in achievement based on gender in UPSR mathematic trial examinations. The items are grouped into 4 groups which are based on the topics of lesson, Bloom cognitive taxonomy levels, diagrams and person names used. The samples consist of year six students which are selected based on their performance which have been categoried into excellent, medium and low. Each category has 100 girls and 100 boys from 100 primary schools in Terengganu. The instrument used was UPSR trial’s examinations, mathematic paper 1 which contains 40 multiple choice items. The t-test (independent samples t-test)were used to test the hypotheses with significant level at 5 %. The results of the study indicated that the groups of items based on the topics of lesson are significant for all categories of achievers. Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk memperkenal, menguji dan mengenalpasti keberkesanan penggunaan pelbagai media cetak terhadap pencapaian awal matematik kanak-kanak autistik prasekolah. Kajian ini merupakan kajian kuantitatif kuasi eksperimen dengan reka bentuk pengukuran berulang dalam subjek (within subject repeated measures design). Sampel kajian adalah seramai 15 orang kanak-kanak autistik pra sekolah di Melaka. Ujian Pra, Ujian 1, Ujian 2 dan Ujian Pasca digunakan sebagai instrumen. Kajian ini dijalankan dalam tiga fasa di mana rawatan diberikan dalam tempoh enam minggu dalam setiap fasa. Setiap fasa menggunakan pelbagai media cetak seperti Poster, Sampul Angpau, Kad Parkir, Kalendar Papan, Kalendar Flip, Tiket, Penanda Buku, Buku Manik, Kad Permainan, Foto, Brosur dan My Magic Album. Kajian kualitatif ini bertujuan menganalisis konsepsi dan amalan pengajaran dalam kalangan guru matematik Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) terhadap penyelesaian masalah matematik di Palembang. Seramai enam orang guru matematik SMA di Palembang sebagai responden di pilih dengan teknik persampelan bertujuan. Kaedah temu bual secara separa berstruktur dan pemerhatian digunakan bagi mengumpul data. Pemerhatian terhadap guru di jalankan sebanyak tiga kali sesi pengajaran dan pembelajaran (pdp). Temu bual di jalankan sebelum dan selepas bagi setiap sesi pdp. Data dianalisis menggunakan kaedah analisis kandungan. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa konsepsi guru terhadap penyelesaian masalah masih belum jelas. Konsepsi guru terhadap penyelesaian masalah bertambah baik setiap kali temu bual di jalankan. Pembinaan model berstruktur pencapaian Matematik berasaskan transisi dengan penerapan orientasi pembelajaran Matematik

Kajian ini bertujuan membina model berstruktur pencapaian matematik berasaskan transisi dengan penerapan orientasi pembelajaran matematik. Kaedah kuantitatif digunakan dalam kajian ini. Data diperolehi daripada subjek kajian melalui instrumen penilaian transisi dan orientasi pembelajaran matematik. Subjek kajian terdiri daripada 95 orang pelajar Persediaan Program Ijazah Sarjana Muda Perguruan (PPISMP) major Pendidikan Matematik dari enam buah Institut Pendidikan Guru Malaysia yang dipilih melalui teknik pensampelan rawak ringkas. Analisis statistik melibatkan statistik deskriptif dan model persamaan berstruktur melalui kaedah kuasa dua terkecil separa digunakan dalam kajian ini. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa terdapat hubungan berstruktur yang signifikan antara pencapaian SPM dengan pencapaian matematik dan juga orientasi pembelajaran matematik dengan pencapaian matematik.
