Zafar Projected Differential Transform and laplace projected differential transform methods as exact solution methods for Klein- Gordon equations
Gbodogbe, Sunday Oluwafemi
In this study, we propose two innovative numerical methods for solving Klein- Gordon equations: the Zafar Projected Differential Transform Method (ZPDTM) and the Laplace Projected Differential Transform Method (LPDTM). By integrating the Zafar and Laplace transforms respectively with the Projected Differential Transform Method, these approaches offer improved computational efficiency and enhanced solution accuracy. The performance of both methods is demonstrated through their application to linear and nonlinear forms of the Klein-Gordon equation, showing strong agreement with exact solutions and reduced computational overhead. These results highlight the versatility and reliability of ZPDTM and LPDTM in addressing complex differential models encountered in physics and engineering. Synergistic effects of radiotherapy and Capsaicin on Colorectal Cancer (CaCo-2) and Normal Fibroblast (HDFn) cell lines in vitro
Hatif, Abbas R.
Colorectal cancer is the second most frequent kind of cancer worldwide. The treatment may comprise surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. More than half of cancer treatments are derived from natural sources, such as capsaicin. The biggest challenge is to get the disease under control as much as possible while causing as little harm to the healthy tissues around it. Cells were treated with an extract, Capsaicin of (chili peppers) and irradiated at 1 Gy, 3 Gy and 5 Gy. The MTT test was used to determine viability, and absorbance was measured at 570 nm using a Counter reader (Mutiskan EX, Thermo Lab systems). Capsaicin extract has shown a potential radiosensitizing effect in vitro for colorectal cancer. The inhibition effect in the cell lines was not selective and is significantly different from conventional radiotherapy. Capsaicin extract from chili peppers concerted with radiation proved more effective in colorectal cancer cells than radiotherapy alone. Keywords Digital Transfor.....

Rat dissection alternatives in Biology education: a systematic literature review
Teoh, Chern Zhong
Despite the importance of both rat dissection and alternatives for rat dissection, proponents for these alternatives became more apparent during the COVID-19 pandemic and post-pandemically. Incorporating humane education into the Malaysian education system, whereby 3R (reduction, replacement, or refinement) is urged, aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Utilising technology is an essential component of any 21st-century learning. Therefore, this study was carried out to explore the need for alternatives in rat dissection that provide both a high learning experience and feasibility using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) technique is employed. Examining selected literature revealed a substantial positive effect on the student's learning experience regarding perception, task performance, exam performance, and motivation. It is found to be either superior or equivalent to the i.....

Syarifah Nadhirah Wan Idrus
The aim of this study was to investigate the essential oil composition, phytochemicals, and antibacterial activity of Piper frustratum, Piperaceae. Essential oil was obtained from the leaves of P. frustratum via hydrodistillation and its chemical composition was determined using gas chromatography (GC) and gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Cold extraction was performed to obtain the leaf extract, followed by isolation of phytochemicals using column chromatography techniques, and structural elucidation was achieved via various spectroscopic methods in comparison with literature. Antibacterial activity was evaluated using micro-dilution method. Results showed that nineteen chemical constituents were identified in the essential oil of P. frustratum leaf, accounting for 99.6% of the total composition. The major constituents include _-caryophyllene (12.6%), _-asarone (10.7%), myristicin (10.4%), _-copaene (9.6%), methyl eugenol (7.2 %), and _-cubebene (6.5%). Isolation and purif.....

Effect of mind-mapping instructional strategy on students achievement in Mathematics in Ogun State Nigeria
Abiodun, T.O
Several studies have shown that using mind mapping as an approach to teaching Mathematics has a more positive impact on student achievement than traditional approaches. However, these studies did not address the effect of mind mapping in other countries, such as Nigeria, at a secondary school level; they focused more on digital mind_mapping for pre-service teachers. This study examined how students' mathematics achievement in Ogun State, Nigeria, was affected by the mind mapping instructional technique. Nonrandomized pre-test post-test control group design, or quasi-experimental non-equivalent group research design, was used. A simple random sample technique was used to assign one school to the experimental group and another school to the control group. The data required for the study was collected using the Mathematics Achievement Test, which has a reliability coefficient of 0.87 according to the Kuder-Richardson formula 20 (KR20). Four hypotheses were tested at the 0.05 significant l.....

Computational analysis of fractional systems of korteweg-de vries equations using Elzaki Projected Differential Transform Method
Gbodogbe, Sunday Oluwafemi
This study investigates the application of the Elzaki Projected Differential Transform Method (EPDTM) to fractional-order nonlinear Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equations, which describe various nonlinear wave phenomena in physics and engineering. The method effectively addresses both linear and nonlinear operators and fractional derivatives. Through two illustrative examples, the method accurately captures the dynamics of fractional-order wave systems and achieves results in excellent agreement with exact solutions. The findings demonstrate the method_s precision, fast convergence, and computational efficiency, underscoring EPDTM's potential as a robust tool for solving nonlinear partial differential equations with fractional dynamics.
