| 4511 | 2021 Article | Keindahan reka bentuk busana Samrah etnik Suluk di Sandakan, Sabah Mohammad Azwan Jainal Penyelidikan ini dijalankan untuk mengkaji keindahan reka bentuk busana Samrah etnik Suluk di Sandakan, Sabah. Busana Samrah merupakan khazanah warisan seni kebudayaan etnik Suluk. Busana Samrah dianggap sebagai simbolik keagungan dan kekuasaan yang telah diwarisi sejak zaman dahulu. Kaedah kajian ini menggunakan kaedah kualitatif dengan pendekatan sejarah. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif melalui kaedah temu bual analisis artifak busana Samrah dan analisis dokumen. Dalam konteks ini, busana Samrah etnik Suluk memiliki reka bentuk serta motif dan corak yang dapat dilihat melalui sulaman pada permukaan kain seperti terdapat pada Sulban (Serban) dan ukiran Dublun (Kerongsang Emas). Fungsi kegunaan busana Samrah adalah sebagai pakaian harian untuk melakukan kerja-kerja di rumah. Namun busana ini juga boleh digunakan dalam majlis keramaian misalnya majlis perkahwinan mahupun persembahan tarian. One of a major musical instrument that is often used among the Arabs namely oud. The application of this musical instruments is reinforced by the establishment of Othmaniah’s hospitals that also use in music therapy in the time of Islamic civilisation. Oud already evolved in Malay Archipelago in the 15th century in recognised as gambus and become part of key traditional musical instrument of local popular music. In China, batik is mainly concentrated in the minority areas of southwestern, such as Guizhou, Yunnan, Hunan Province. The Miao batik art has rich patterns and profound cultural implications. At the same time, it has strong regional characteristics and national personality, showing the historical changes, cultural customs, and aesthetic ideas of Miao people. Danzhai is known as the “land of batik”, and the batik pattern is different from other batik types by its primitive and uninhibited style. This research introduces the history, special technological process, typical patterns, and aesthetic study of traditional Miao batik in Danzhai. And the purpose of this study is to discover the aesthetic characteristics of Danzhai Miao batik.

The personal symbols, together with descriptive texts that answer the prompt question: How does the personal symbol created reflect you as a designer? created by first year design students were used to identify the common themes relating to identity reflection and the extent of how connotative meanings are embedded in the personal symbols. Using the method of thematic analysis on the descriptive texts, 6 themes relating to personal identity reflection are identified including (1) Personal Preference, (2) Personal Names, (3) Character Personality, (4) Cultural Identity, (5) Design Style and (6) Design Philosophy. As a result, one of the Malay traditional ornaments which are called ‘awan larat’ serves as a symbol that was decorated in most traditional Malay houses to portray the significance relationship between man, the universe and its Creator. However, due to the modernization these days, this traditional form of the motif is slowly being neglected and refuse to apply to contemporary buildings due to technological advancement as well as lack of interest and appreciation among Malay society. Virus ini sangat berbahaya dan perlu ditangani penularannya ke serata dunia. Maka, petugas barisan hadapan perlu mengenakan pakaian perlindungan diri(PPE) bagi mengelakkan virus merebak ketika merawat pesakit. PPE bertujuan untuk memastikan keselamatan dan mencegah petugas kesihatan daripada terkena jangkitan COVID-19 namun kekurangan bekalan PPE begitu meruncing ketika ini apabila permintaan terhadap penggunaan PPE menjadi semakin tinggi. Orientasi kekurangan bekalan membuatkan sukarelawan mula memikirkan inisiatif untuk memberikan sumbangan. Kuntau adalah seni membela diri daripada serangan musuh yang hanya dilakukan oleh kaum lelaki. Kebiasaannya kaum lelaki yang membawa Kuntau dipanggil sebagai bujang berani. Namun, setelah berlakunya perubahan zaman, persembahan Kuntau telah dipentaskan sebagai sebuah hiburan semasa hari perayaan iaitu Hari Gawai Dayak. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menghuraikan perubahan fungsi yang melibatkan pandangan masyarakat Iban di Kampung Bayur, Balai Ringin, Sarawak. Sherfatmand started her career with refined, simple to understand, and distinct concepts relating to global peace and human rights. Florescencism relates to blooms and flowers – to state the literal meaning – since “florescence” is typically defined as the process of flowering. Using interdisciplinary approaches, prior research has suggested the relevance of psychological, sociological, historical, symbolic, political, and even botanical aspects related to this artistic trend. However, the issue is more significant when the analysis aims to understand “Flower” as the primary subject matter, rather than just an ornamental element of a painting.

| 4520 | 2021 Article | Comparison analysis of sound of through notation ‘A produced by Angklung Instruments which are made from different species of bamboo Muhammad Asyraf Mohd Bakri Angklung is a traditional musical instrument that originated in Indonesia and later been established in Malaysia since the 1930s. The tube is the most important part of the angklung. Almost 100% of the material used in making/producing the angklung instrument is from bamboo. There are 3 types of bamboo species commonly used in producing the angklung. Mostly use is the Gigantochloa atroviolaceae widjaja species of bamboo and two option is Gigantochloa scortechinii and Bambusa vulgaris. In this study, the results of the note ‘a’ sound recordings from all three species were performed by ‘kerulung’ technique and the comparison between the three species was carried out through frequency sound analysis using: audio waze, spectrogram and fast Fourier transform (FFT) using adobe audition software. The results showed a character difference through the timber element of the species of bamboo material to the sound analysis.
