Exploring outdoor classroom learning as an extension of indoor classroom learning in presschool

Early childhood education (ECE) classrooms are under pressure and stress due to the domino effect on primary school preparation and the curriculum's focus on academics, particularly early literacy, and numerical competence. In recognizing the significance of outdoor experiences for children, the study aims to gain an overview of preschool teachers' diverse viewpoints and experiences in exploring outdoor classroom learning as an extension to classroom learning. This qualitative case study interviewed six preschool teachers on their perspectives and experiences with learning outside the classroom. It comprises a thematic analysis of data from semi-structured interviews with preschool teachers. Two themes emerged from the thematic data analysis, which describes teachers' thoughts and experiences. Assessing the achievement of program educational objectives: alumni surveys

Outcome-Based Education (OBE) is a learner-centred approach to education that emphasizes what a student should be able to perform in the real world after completing a course or programme. One of the important aspects of Outcome-Based Education is Program Educational Objectives (PEOs). The Programme Educational Objectives are the statements that describe what the graduates are expected to perform and achieve in the three to five years following graduation. Every institution in Malaysia is required to measure the PEOs to comply with the requirements set forth by the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA). Each institution has its instruments to evaluate the achievement of PEOs. Hence, this study used alumni surveys to assess their perceptions of the PEOs for Islamic Banking and Finance programmes offered at Kolej Profesional MARA Bandar Melaka (KPMBM). ACER ConQuest is a generalized Rasch-type item response modelling software. It is widely used in the fields of measurement, psychometrics, and educational assessment. This paper introduces ConQuest’s functions, the analysis models fitted, and its applications. An analysis example is shown for investigating psychometric properties of a psychological instrument with a multidimensional item response theory (MIRT) model. As the world advances in technology, and its subsequent integration in education at all levels, especially higher education, different forms of learning modes/methods continue to emerge. Every student has their unique learning modes, which is partly due to the way they process information. Also, the COVID-19 pandemic forced many universities to suddenly embrace remote and hybrid modes of instructions without giving room to examine students’ choices. Because compatibility in perceptions, and preference are likely to improve learning outcomes, therefore, this study investigates pre-service teachers’ perception of remote and hybrid modes of instructions. Penggunaan ICT dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran subjek Sejarah PraUniversiti

Kajian ini dijalankan untuk untuk mengenal pasti hubungan penggunaan Information Communication Technology (ICT) dengan pengajaran dan pembelajaran subjek Sejarah prauniversiti. Kajian ini dijalankan di Pusat Tingkatan Enam, daerah Penampang, Sabah yang melibatkan 152 orang pelajar prauniversiti yang mengambil subjek Sejarah. Intrumen kajian yang digunakan adalah borang kaji selidik. Item yang terdapat dalam soal selidik ini menggunakan skala empat mata. Analisis data telah dilakukan dengan menggunakan Statistical Package For Sosial Science (SPSS) Version 21 untuk menjalankan Ujian-t. Dapatan kajian mendapati bahawa tidak terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan antara penggunaan ICT berdasarkan jantina dengan perbezaan min adalah sebanyak 0.09. Kegiatan membaca secara ekstensif melalui Program Nadi Ilmu Amalan Membaca (NILAM) dijalankan di luar bilik darjah pada waktu sengang dengan memberikan imuniti kepada pembaca untuk memilih bahan bacaan yang disukai. Oleh kerana masalah membaca masih berlaku dalam kalangan murid sekolah rendah, maka perancangan yang sesuai perlu untuk mengurangkan kadar celik huruf dalam kalangan rakyat Malaysia. Factors impacting online gaming addiction on mental health of adolescents studying in the context of Karachi

The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors impacting online gaming addiction on mental health including emotional, psychological and social well-being of adolescents from five secondary schools of Karachi, Pakistan. It was hypothesized that engagement in online gaming (referring to electronic game playing over a computer network) has impacts on the overall mental health of these adolescents. This study employs between-subject design and a survey research method in which a sample from the population of gamers is taken using purposive sampling. The sample is composed of 103 participants who play online games (average age = 14.6, SD=1.8). The researchers conducted a survey for finding out the factors impacting online gaming addiction (OGA) and Mental Health (MH). Recently, researchers have shown an increasing interest in flipped classroom pedagogical frameworks. This new paradigm flips the role of teachers and pupils in the classroom. Meanwhile, the recent pandemic has changed education dramatically with the distinctive rise of hybrid learning. Therefore, this study attempts to propose a new conceptual framework of how primary school Mathematics teachers collaboratively incorporate flipped classroom pedagogy in teaching Year Five Mathematics for hybrid learning. This paper discusses the literature review on the flipped classroom, collaborative teaching, and current teaching interventions during the new norm. The interaction and literary thought of Zhu Ziqing and Tschen Yin Koh A Study based on Zhu Ziqing\s Diary

Aside from documenting his daily life, Zhu Ziqing’s diary also recorded his interactions with other literati and scholars. The diary recorded 55 interactions w it h Tschen Yin Koh, however studies on their interactions have been scarce. Despite coming from different backgrounds and knowledge systems, Zhu Ziqing and Tschen Yin Koh shared the same literary viewpoint of “an era for an era,” which pertained to the syn ch ronicity of literary style’s development in the Tang Dynasty. This raises the concerns of whether their interactions affected their thoughts on Tang Dynasty's literary style. Hence, this paper took Tschen’s first appearance (1932) until his last appearan ce (1948) in Zhu’s diary as the temporal scope and investigated their literary thought and exchanges.
