Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kesan Modul K360 terhadap pencapaian dan sikap pelajar dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Melayu (Penulisan) di sebuah Kolej Vokasional di negeri Perak. Reka bentuk kuasi eksperimen telah digunakan dalam kajian ini. Sampel telah dipilih secara rawak kluster dan dibahagikan kepada kumpulan eksperimen (n=19) dan kumpulan kawalan (n=20). Intervensi selama enam (6) minggu telah dijalankan untuk melihat kesan Modul K360 terhadap pencapaian pelajar dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Melayu (Penulisan). Instrumen kajian terdiri daripada ujian pencapaian dan soal selidik yang telah disahkan dalam kajian rintis. Kebolehpercayaan instrumen menggunakan indeks ketekalan dalaman Alfa Cronbach adalah di antara 0.84 dan 0.68. Despite growing concern on the quality and safety of food available in the market, only a small portion of consumers purchase organic food products. Therefore, this study aims to explore the perception of consumers towards the benefits and challenges of organic food consumption. For that purpose, a semi-structured interview was conducted with three organic food consumers in Tanjung Malim, Perak and data were analysed by using thematic analysis. The findings confirmed “healthiness” and “green environment” as the benefits of organic consumption, while “high price” and “the lack of organic food availability” were described as the challenges in organic food consumption. The implication of the study is that campaigns towards organic food consumption should be focusing on the healthier eating and environmental-friendliness of organic food production. The objectives of this study are to provide an analysis of constructive dismissal cases and to explore several practical issues involving claims of constructive dismissal. It starts by analyzing the Malaysian case laws which been categorized in eight dimensions namely (i) work/job (ii) transfer (iii) salary & benefits (iv) series of actions (v) disciplinary cases (vi) forced resignation (vii) demotion and (viii) general cases. It then explores on the lesson learnt for both the employer and employee by looking on various judgment made by the industrial court. It further analyses some cases on what employer’s actions constitute constructive dismissal, such as unilateral changes in work/job and changes to the level of pay or the benefits structure. The rate of drop outs among indigenous or Orang Asli pupils in primary school is a worrying issue. They were found to be unable to apply the knowledge acquired through formal education systems in Malaysia due to the different ‚settings‘ of the environment. This failure was due to the lack of understanding on how Orang Asli pupils learn, think, and act. The aim of this study was to construct a Forest School framework for the teaching and learning process in Orang Asli primary schools. The qualitative study design involved in-depth interviews with six experts from the Orang Asli community by using semi-structured questions to explore and clarify related sub-constructs. The results showed five elements that need to be incorporated in the syllabus, namely music, herbs and medicine, handicrafts, tools for hunting and forestry. This study was conducted to obtain the construct validity and reliability of Human Capital SelfAssessment questionnaires instrument among thirteen years old male and female students in Perak, Malaysia. Eighty students from the secondary schools in Kinta Utara and Perak Tengah districts were involved in this study. 100 questionnaire items were built that represent six constructs that are knowledge, thinking skills, leadership skills, bi-languange skills, ethics and spirituality, and national identity aspirations. Factor analysis showed only 83 items that’s represented the six constructs were accepted. The Cronbach-Alpha showed reliability coefficient for all constructs were between α = .73 to α = .92 with the total Cronbach-Alpha value of α = 89.thus, findings showed that the Human Capital Self-Assessment questionnaires instrument have validity and realibility among the studied population..

Validity and reliability are the main important issues when developing a new instrument. This pilot study aims to test the validity and reliability of instruments in content knowledge for the Design and Technology subject in Malaysia. The content knowledge of RBT subject instruments that had been prepared consists of 94 dichotomous items and is distributed to 83 teachers. The purpose of the establishment of this instrument is to measure the five main constructs of this study, which is; (1) Introduction to Design and Technology; (2) Introduction to Design Project Management; (3) Product Making; (4) Introduction to Apply Technology; and (5) Introduction to Design and Technology in entrepreneurship. This study is about Tamil language word-formation in Malaysian context. The study gives in-depth findings on two research objectives. The objectives are, to identify the conflicts and problems in newly formed words in Tamil language found in Malaysia newspaper and to provide solutions for the problematic newly formed words in Tamil language. This study aims to establish the effectiveness of a Conceptual Approach in enhancing the learning of Conceptual Approach to cooperative learning among 27 4th semester pre-service Biology teachers in science teacher education. Accordingly, the Conceptual Approach employed in this study entails the incorporation of its five essential elements, namely positive independence, individual accountability, group processing, social skills, and face-to-face interaction into the context of problem solving within a cooperative learning setting. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peringkat kefahaman numerasi murid Tahun Empat berasaskan Model Kritikal Numerasi. Empat peringkat dalam Model Peringkat Kefahaman Numerasi (MPKN) yang diaplikasikan dalam kajian ini ialah pentafsiran kod, pemerolehan pengetahuan, aplikasi dan analisis. Responden kajian terdiri daripada enam orang murid Tahun Empat dipilih berdasarkan keputusan ujian matematik bulanan iaitu dua orang bagi setiap tahap; cemerlang, sederhana dan lemah. Kajian ini menggunakan reka bentuk kualitatif di mana temu duga dijalankan bagi mengumpul data. Purpose – This paper aims to investigate the impact of competition in the Malaysian Islamic banking industry and the market structure of the industry by focusing on the particular impact created by the entrance of fully fledged foreign Islamic banks plus the introduction of Islamic subsidiaries of existing conventional banks in the country (domestic and foreign ownership). Design/methodology/approach – Using a sample of 16 Islamic banks in the country that operated between 2008 and 2015, this paper measures the competition among the Islamic banks using the Panzar-Rosse Model and by looking at the market structure of the industry using the k-bank concentration ratio and the Herfindahl-Hirschman Index. Findings – The study found that between 2008 and 2015, the Malaysian Islamic banking industry operated in monopolistic competition conditions with a moderately concentrated market structure.
