Kedua, melalui latar tempat teks yang menggambarkan kehebatan landskap ibu kota/ibu negeri kerajaan Melayu, taman raja-raja Melayu dan istana raja-raja Melayu (ilmu menggubah landskap). 9214 | 2006 thesis | Using literary text to foster vocabulary acquisition: a case study on the relationship between reading and writing Yeo, Chong Ee Many language teachers do not realise the immense benefit of using literature particularly short stories as means to teach vocabulary and writing. Since the introduction of literature component for all secondary schools in the year 2000, the usage of these literary texts is focused mainly as a component for examination purposes. The study examined the effects of using critical reading strategy as a technique to read literary texts not only for text comprehension but function as a basis to foster vocabulary acquisition which in turn help students in their writing. The objectives of this study were: (i) to examine the effectiveness of reading modern short stories critically for vocabulary acquisition; (ii) to examine the level of effectiveness in using critical reading strategy for knowledge transfer; (iii) to identify factors that hamper learners’ ability to reproduce the acquired knowledge; and (iv) to examine the significance of reading modern short stories critically towards correc..... 1585 hits |
9215 | 2005 thesis | Faktor yang mendorong pelajar selatan Thailand mempelajari bahasa Melayu Abdunraman Tohlong This research intends to find out the factor that factor that cause student from Southern Thailand to choose the Malay Language Program as their study in the university. The researches uses in survey method and employs the survey and interview as instruments to obtain data. The research samples are 99 students from Southern Thailand who are taking the Malay Language Program at the Faculty of Language, prince of Songkhla University in Southern Thailand and at the faculty of Language University Sultan Idris, Tanjong Malim, Malaysia. The researcher works on four hypotheses that cause students from Southern Thailand to learn the Malay Language: Social Factor, Attitude, Economy and Politic. 9216 | 2016 thesis | Modeling the shape of red blood cell using the PDE Method Ahmed Mayi, Jiyar Jafar This study aims to model the shape of a normal red blood cell (RBC) and two shapes of sickle cells using the partial differential equation (PDE). The development of this technique was based on the use of an elliptic PDE and a set of four periodic boundary conditions. The PDE method can generate surfaces of geometries from a small number of parameters. Furthermore, the shape of the surfaces generated by the PDE method is based on a boundary representation and can easily be modified since it is characterized by data distributed around the boundaries. In this study, the shapes of the generated PDE-based representation of a normal RBC and sickle cell has been sketched by using MATLAB program. The fmdings showed that the PDE method is suitable for representing the shape of a normal RBC and sickle cells. Besides that, the data regarding the radius and height from the normal RBC and one of the sickle cells, are then used to obtain four equations. These equations can be utilized for future pre..... 3092 hits |
9217 | 2005 thesis | Establishing CMMI measurement and analysis, and integrated project management process areas at Heitech Padu Berhad Nuraminah Ramli Software process improvement has been proposed to HeiTech Padu Berhad (HeiTech) to improve software process development productivity and system quality, and simultaneously assess its current practices in order to deliver quality software within time and budget constraints. HeiTech has selected CMMIsM (SE/SW) model with Staged representation and IDEALSM life-cycle model. HeiTech's mission is to be certified by CMMIsM Level 3 by the year 2006. Measurement and Analysis and Integrated Project Management process area are two process areas discussed in this report. HeiTech is facing improper activities on implementing Measurement and Analysis, and Integrated Project Management issues in their current practices. Therefore, a few work products have been produced in response to establish both process areas. They were elaborate concisely in this report. For Measurement and Analysis process area, the work products are HeiTech Measurement and Analysis Guideline, HeiTech Measurement and Analysis Pl..... 2281 hits |
9218 | 2014 thesis | Supporting Asian immigrant English language learners: teachers beliefs and practices Mazlina Mustafa This phenomenological study explores the beliefs and practices of New Zealand early
childhood teachers in supporting English acquisition for Asian immigrant English language

about how they can support English acquisition among Asian immigrant ELLs and how these
beliefs influence the teachers' practices in early childhood education (EeE) settings.
The theoretical framework of this research draws on a range of sociocultural perspectives,
including (i) the sociocultural positions initially defined by Lev Vygostky (1978), (ii) the
notion of guided participation articulated by Barbara Rogoff (2003), (iii) theories of second
language acquisition discussed by Lantolf and Thorne (2000), and by Krashen (1982, 1985),
and (iv) acculturation as addressed by Berry (2001).
The main participants of this study were seven early childhood teachers and six Asian
immigrant ELLs from two EeE centres. ..... 3341 hits |
9219 | 2013 thesis | The clusters of excellence in Malaysia: a case study of educational policy and practice Mohd Asri Mohd Noor In the past two decades, nations worldwide have been involved in active education reform efforts. In East Asia, many of these efforts are aimed at increasing economic competitiveness by enhancing the quality of education. In doing so, education systems often look to comparative and international experience for guidance and inspiration. Since Vision 2020 was launched in Malaysia in the 1990s, education reform has been a key component in efforts to ensure that the nation stays competitive, and achieves the target of becoming a regional hub for high quality education and economic creativity by the year 2020. In 2006, the Malaysian government prepared an education 'blueprint' known as the Education Development Master Plan (EDMP) 2006-2010. One of the core strategies in the EDMP is to accelerate the improvement of educational institutions by forming clusters of excellence among schools so that they become models and benchmarks for others to learn from. Schools in these clusters of excellenc..... 6548 hits |
