Pengajaran kemahiran penulisan karangan naratif bahasa Melayu menggunakan kaedah kata tanya

Abstract

Major reason for this research being conducted was to identify pupils’ weaknesses in constructing essays, hence provide the alternative to improve the quality of essay writing of the Year 5 pupils. This research was based on quantitative method utilizing questionnaires and evaluation on essays. Essays were constructed in narrative form of given titles and tested in two sets; pre and post. 36 year 5 pupils chosen from a suburb government school in Tanjong Malim, Perak were made sample. Research were narrowed to techniques of writing using 6 interrogative pronounces namely : what, where, when, who, why and how. Reviewed literatures were also incurred to explain further of this matter. The instrument used in this research was a set of questionnaires divided into 3 sections. Section A reflected on the respondents background, section B comprised the basic knowledge of composing and section 3 contained the information of respondents capabilities of constructing essays. Abstract

The purpose of the study is to gauge the compentency level regarding the application of computer softwares among the secondary schools teachers of Visual Arts Education in the district of Kubang Pasu, Kedah. It was a case study using a qualitative approach. The respondents were selected using a purposive sampling method. A sample of seventeen respondents were involved in this study. The data was gethered through questionaire, interview an observation. These data were analyzed inductively and sistemetically. The results of the study had found that the respondents had achieved certain level of compentency including th application of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator softwares, ability to use the printer, scanners, projectors and digital cameras. They were also able to use computers in the teaching and learning process. However the study also revealed that the level of computer application among these respondents was low. Abstract

This Self-Regulated Learning research was conducted to profile and analyze motivational aspects and learning strategies of science students in Malaysia. An improved instrument in Bahasa Melayu called The Motivation Strategies of Learning Questionnaire-Revised or ‘MSLQ-R’ was developed for this purpose. This instrument was adapted from Motivation Strategies of Learning Questionnaire ‘MSLQ’ developed by Pintrich et al., (1991). The Cronbach alpha values for the first pilot study were 0.817 for motivation and 0.922 for the learning strategies. In the second pilot study the aspect of motivation had a value of 0.894 the while learning strategies was 0.927. Both pilot studies revealed a high internal reliability of the instrument. The findings showed that the mean score of motivation (5.34) is higher than the mean score for the learning strategies (4.55). Abstract

Kajian ini adalah bertujuan mengenalpasti dan menganalisis karya ilustrasi yang dihasilkan oleh Abdullah Ariff. Kaedah kualitatif dengan pendekatan historikal dan eksplorasi telah digunakan dalam kajian ini. Data dianalisis secara induktif menggunakan teori semiotik. Hasil daripada kajian ini mendapati karya ilustrasi berkenaan telah diterbitkan dalam pelbagai bentuk media cetak dari tahun 1932 sehingga tahun 1959. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa karya ilustrasi berkenaan berupaya menghuraikan makna, tema dan persoalan yang cuba digarap oleh ilustratur, bersesuaian dengan pelbagai situasi dan khalayak pada zaman berkenaan. Abstract

Kajian ini dijalankan bertujuan untuk mengenalpasti jenis kesilapan yang sering dilakukan oleh murid-murid pelbagai tahap pencapaian dalam penyelesaian masalah soalan berayat matematik melalui Kaedah Analisis Kesilapan Newman. Kajian berbentuk kualitatif ini dijalankan selama empat minggu di Sekolah Kebangsaan Changkat Lada 2, Kg Gajah, Perak. Sampel kajian terdiri darpada 61 orang murid tahun lima yang dibahagikan kepada tiga kumpulan berpencapaian cemerlang, sederhana dan rendah. Data dipungut melalui satu set soalan ujian bertulis dan temu bual semi berstruktur. Analisis data dibuat setelah membuat saringan data dan kemudiannya mempersembahkan data seterusnya kepada membuat verifikasi data. Jenis kesilapan ditentukan dengan kesilapan langkah kerja yang pertama dilakukan oleh murid dalam penyelesaiannya dan diklasifikasikan berdasarkan Prosedur Analisis Kesilapan Newman yang telah diubahsuai. Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan meneroka secara mendalami komponen budaya, iaitu penerapan nilai matematik dalam pengajaran guru di bilik darjah. Fokus kajian adalah tentang dua nilai matematik iaitu nilai rasionalisme dan nilai objektisme. Secara khusus kajian ini adalah untuk menjawab soalan tentang bagaimana penerapan nilai rasionalisme dan nilai objektisme berlaku dalam pengajaran matematik di sekolah rendah. Kajian dijalankan secara kualitatif melibatkan dua orang peserta kajian. Pemilihan peserta adalah secara bertujuan daripada sebuah sekolah rendah dari sebuah pekan di Negeri Perak. Pengumpulan data melibatkan pemerhatian, temu bual pra dan pasca pengajaran dan analisis dokumen. Data kajian dianalisis menggunakan analisis isi kandungan. Abstract

Journal of Sports Science and Physical Education 5(1): 35-48, 2016 - This study aimed to determine the validity and reliability of Learning Assessment Model for Invasion Category Games in Year 4 Physical Education. This study uses a holistic instrument for assessing student performance standards for the assessment of Invasion Category Games that includes teacher observation that consisted of psychomotor, cognitive and affective domain. Measuring instruments were constructed based on five main sources that were the Handbook of Physical Education Teaching, Curriculum and Assessment Document Standard of Physical Education, Physical Education textbooks, Professional Circular No. 1/2014 and the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2013-2025. Abstract

Study on physico-chemical characteristics of different agricultural land uses in subcatchment of Bernam River was carried out. Five soil sampling stations (S1, S2, S3, S4, and S5) were selected to collect the soil to be tested. Physico-chemical characteristics determined were organic matter content, size particle distribution and total organic carbon. Particle size distribution was determined by pipette method and dry sieving. Organic matter and total organic carbon were measured through loss of ignition and Walkley-Black method respectively. Abstract

There is widespread concern in Malaysia about the quality of learning experienced by students, and the approach to learning they develop as a consequence. The approach is generally marked by memorization of information as isolated facts and does not promote understanding or long-term retention of knowledge and information. Despite a number of large-scale, centrally-driven reform efforts to change the status quo, they have for the most part met with little success. Based on the data collected as part of a nation-wide study to investigate the way teachers make pedagogical decisions, this paper argues that one major challenge to transform students‟ approach to learning is changing the way teachers think about teaching which past reform efforts have largely ignored. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji persepsi dan amalan pengajaran kemahiran berfikir dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran Matematik di bilik darjah. Fokus utama diberikan kepada persepsi guru terhadap pengajaran kemahiran berfikir yang merangkumi aspek pendekatan pengajaran, nilai dan kepentingan pengajaran kemahiran berfikir, efikasi guru, dan juga sokongan kurikulum dan sekolah. Kedua, mengkaji pengajaran kemahiran berfikir yang diamalkan oleh guru Matematik dalam bilik darjah. Kajian ini juga ingin melihat sama ada terdapat perbezaan amalan pengajaran kemahiran berfikir antara jantina dan pengalaman mengajar.
