Using games in teaching and learning vocabulary has become prominent. The increased application of such a tool has called for the need to evaluate its educational value. This paper proposed the use of self-access learning in learning grammar in the self-access centre with the assistance of the computer-assisted language learning and teachers as facilitators. The self-access learning was chosen for this study because it offers a learning environment where learners could be actively involved in the learning process. It also allows learners to make their own learning decisions regarding what to learn, which materials to work on, and when to learn. The pupils' performances and the aspect of grammar were assessed through pre-tests, post-tests and the final marks after the sessions. The study showed that pupils who learnt grammar using self-access learning showed significant improvement through post-test scores. The purpose of this study is to identify the verb phrase errors that students make in their composition. In order to meet the purpose of this study, the researcher conducted an error analysis on verb tenses in the essays of twenty Form Four students of School A. This study is also carried out to identify the possible causes of verb tense errors and to provide a better understanding of the nature of these errors. Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk menguji keberkesanan pendekatan Metakognisi dalam pengajaran karangan bahasa Melayu serta kaitannya dengan minat membaca dan sikap keluarga. Kaedah eksperimental dijalankan pada 40 orang murid bukan Melayu di sebuah sekolah di Sungai Siput (U), Perak. Logically, the taller building will collapse within a short period. We will give the reason in mathematical ways according to our study. The ability to make predictions about the vibrations from the earthquake could enable scientists to evaluate our plans and may have a significant effect on the period of time for the building to collapse. The modelling of unforced and forced vibrations on multistory buildings is used as a tool to study the mechanisms of vibration that are caused by an earthquake. Both models are used to calculate the natural frequencies, {J} and period, P of the building vibrations. Furthermore, the maximal amplitude of the building vibrations also can be analysed. For this research, eight-, eleven-, and fifteen-floor buildings have been applied. In our analysis, the eigenvalues method is used via Maple 13 package. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menguji keberkesanan Pendekatan Kaedah Polya dalam pengajaran penyelesaian masalah matematik. Perbandingan dibuat dengan kaedah pengajaran biasa dalam mempertingkatkan lagi pencapaian penyelesaian masalah matematik berdasarkan pengajaran di bawah tajuk Persamaan Linear kepada pelajar Tingkatan 4 Aliran Sains Tulen. Projek penyelidikan ini dijalankan bagi menyorot kajian-kajian yang telah dijalankan mengenai masalah perkataan dalam kumpulan tocang. Code switching occurs when an individual who is bilingual alternates between two languages during his speech with another bilingual person. Abiding by the decision of the Cabinet that Science and Mathematics were to be taught in English in all Malaysian schools before, teachers were viewed to be fluent in the language. The main aim of this research was to study when Science teachers code-switched. This study was conducted in a rural secondary school in Ketereh, Kota Bharu, Kelantan. Four Science teachers from the school were observed and interviewed. The data obtained from the observation and interview were transcribed and analysed manually. The qualitative approach was employed in analysing the data from the observations and interviews of teachers. Language learning strategies (LLSs) seem to be the attention of quite a number of second language or foreign language studies. Generally, successful language learners use various language learning strategies to learn a second language. This study was designed to identify 1) the various types of language learning strategies used or employed by successful students in an urban school, 2) how these language learning strategies help learners to master a second language, and 3) what are the factors that influence the use of language learning strategies among the participants. Qualitative data on the use of language learning strategies from five successful ESL learners studying at an urban school were gathered.
