A pedagogical agent is an on–screen virtual character that is used to serve instructional purposes in virtual learning environment (VLE). Of late, research about pedagogical agents has received increasing interest among researchers, but still there is little research on the facial appearance of animated pedagogical agent. Facial design of pedagogical agent is a key method to achieve believability among students. Pedagogical agent with more ideal facial design has greater motivational impact. Notably, a “cute” looking face is very essential as audience identifies with it the most. The term “cute” reminds one of the famous Japanese cultural term which is known as kawaii. The purpose of this research is study the relationship between socially productive activities and subjective wellbeing among rural elderly in Perak, Malaysia. Quantitative approach and survey method were used in this research. The questionnaire was distributed by simple random sampling to 480 people age 50 to 80 years old located in Muallim, Perak Tengah and Hulu Perak. Data were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics such as mean, standard deviation, t-test and Pearson correlation. Findings show that respondents agreed that their level of wellbeing is high (M=3.14, SD=0.41). Nevertheless, there is no difference in the wellbeing of the elderly based on their employment status. The findings also show that there is moderate positive relationship between volunteering activities and subjective wellbeing r(480)=0.52(p>0.05). Kajian ini bertujuan untuk meneroka Amalan Pengajaran Berkualiti (APB) guru prasekolah ke atas pengetahuan mengajar, kemahiran pengajaran dan perlaksanaan penilaian pengajaran berdasarkan beberapa Standard yang diguna pakai oleh KPM. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan rekabentuk satu kajian kes di pelbagai lokasi melalui teknik pemerhatian, temu bual dan analisis dokumen terhadap empat orang guru prasekolah Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia (KPM) di sekitar Sabah yang dipilih berdasarkan kriteria yang telah ditetapkan. Data kualitatif dianalisis melalui tiga peringkat iaitu i) analisis data secara tidak formal; ii) pra-analisis data secara formal; dan iii) analisis data secara formal. This study aims to examine students’ cognitive development during the teaching and learning of the topic of Mixed-media Paintings using a theater game-based approach. This study is based on a qualitative approach which involving 8 Form Five students who were selected as the study sample. Data were collected through observations where the researchers examined the learning process which involving five sessions, namely induction, perceptions of art, applications of art, expressions of art, and art in life. Teachers were provided with the modules of theater games and a teaching plan as a guideline for the theater game-based approach in teaching the subject matter based on Bloom’s taxonomic levels of mastery.
