| 6501 | 2021 Article | Best practice construct for first degree upervision in Institute of Teacher Education (ITE) Malaysia: a Fuzzy Delphi Method (FDM) analysis Mohamad Termizi Borhan Research supervision is an academic activity that are planned and executed to enhance learning and maximize learning experience in the first-degree level of Institute of Teacher Education (ITE) Malaysia. The study aims to identify and rank elements in Best Practice construct for The Synergistic Psycho-Social Model (SyPSM) based on expert consensus. The expert consists of 15 experts from all ITEs, and possess variety of expertise in research supervision for first degree level. In addition, the chosen expert equipped with 10 years' experience in their respective fields. The study utilizes Fuzzy Delphi Methods (FDM) technique to analyse the data. The findings indicate that all 12 elements in Best Practice construct were accepted. These elements were accepted since the threshold (d) value is less than 0.2, the Fuzzy A score is > 0.5 and percentage of expert group consensus is more than 75%. This study presents a benchmarking and evaluation approach for active queue management (AQM) network congestion control methods, which are considered as a problem of multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM). In recent years, the development of MCDM methods has been studied from various perspectives. The latest one called fuzzy decision by opinion score method (FDOSM) has proved its efficiency in solving the concerns faced by other methods. However, the approach of FDOSM and its extension is based on fuzzy type-1, which suffers from issues, especially minimising the effect of data uncertainties. Therefore, this study extended FDOSM into a fuzzy type-2 environment that utilises interval type-2 trapezoidal (IT2T) membership, and then discusses the effectiveness of such membership on AQM method benchmarking. | 6503 | 2021 Article | Belief and intention towards design ethics among design undergraduates in Malaysian higher education institutions Balakrishnan, Balamuralithara This paper reports on the findings of a study by design graduates on their belief and intention on ethical issues in the creative design industry. The study was conducted at two universities (University A and University B) in Malaysia, which included 120 undergraduates in design. A survey was conducted in which a questionnaire was distributed among respondents to determine their degree of agreement with respect to each argument in the questionnaire. The results of the data showed that the belief and intention of design graduates towards design ethics is poor, with the exception of the respondents of University A who have strong belief towards social, environmental and sustainability issues. These results indicate that a well-structured model of design ethics education and effective teaching mechanism for design ethics education should be in place. | 6504 | 2021 Article | Based on wearable sensory device in 3D-printed humanoid: a new real-time sign language recognition system Bilal Zaidan This study proposes a new real-time sign recognition system based on a wearable sensory glove, which has 17 sensors with 65 channels. We introduce the DataGlove to recognize various, possibly complex hand gestures of the Malaysian Sign Language (MSL). With 65 data channels, DataGlove can satisfy the requirement suggested by the analysis of hand anatomy, kinematic and gestures. Four groups of sensors were tested to select the optimal sensors that can capture hand gesture information. Also, a 3D-printed humanoid arm is used to validate the sensor mounted on the glove. In an extensive set of experiments to test our system, five well-known MSL participants were chosen to perform 75 gestures, all taken from the MSL numbers, alphabet, and words. Compared with other MCDM methods, the fuzzy-weighted zero-inconsistency (FWZIC) method and fuzzy decision by opinion score method (FDOSM) have demonstrated their solidity in solving different MCDM challenges. However, the fuzzy sets used in these methods have neglected the refusal concept and limited the restrictions on their constants. The population for this study consisted of 864 students of year II and the sample study comprised of 150 (93 males and 57 females) randomly selected from six technical colleges in Edo State, Nigeria. The task focuses on getting exceptional translations for rather low-resourced languages like Irish and Marathi. We fine-tune IndicTrans, a pretrained multilingual NMT model for English?Marathi, using external parallel corpus as input for additional training. We have used a pretrained Helsinki-NLP Opus MT English-Irish model for the latter language pair. Our approaches yield relatively promising results on the BLEU metrics.
