The technical deployment and business model have been devised in a roadmap, which mainly covers historically successful use cases (industrial solutions) in Australia – hence giving it the globally renown sophisticated reputation with international technology companies making up the IoT business along with local enterprises and start-ups. However, this roadmap has never been assessed and given the importance of Australia as a point of worldwide technological reference, it is crucial to qualitatively benchmark it against a tested standard. In this paper, the roadmap would be measured against the proven Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) specified in enhanced CREATE-IoT standard. The original CREATE-IoT successfully assessed smart cities in European countries, while its enhanced version has plausibl..... 207 hits |
| 763 | 2024 Article | Synthesis of copper oxide (CuO) via coprecipitation method: Tailoring structural and optical properties of CuO nanoparticles for optoelectronic device applications Suriani Abu Bakar Oxide-based nanoparticles have been studied extensively due to their unique optical and passivation properties, which are significantly distinct from those of bulk materials. The present study aimed to synthesize copper oxide nanoparticles through the co-precipitation method. The adequate substitution of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) into CuO is analyzed by different characterizations, i.e., X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), UV–visible spectroscopy (UV–visible), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), and EDX. The X-ray diffraction spectra indicate that the prepared copper oxide nanoparticles were crystalline, nano-sized, and highly pure. The SEM micrographs showed that nanoparticles were spherical at lower contents of NaOH, while at higher contents, agglomeration of nanoparticles occurs, and the grain size changes. The decreased optical bandgap of the nanoparticles was observed due to different concentrations of sodium hydroxide. The crystalline size and strain val..... 59 hits |

| 767 | 2024 Article | Visual representation of selected Malaysian political trolling on social media: Disclose the ideology and power Md Zahril Nizam Md Yusoff —The visual variety involving internet political trolling in Malaysia also adds to and impacts the audience's awareness of this resource. The existence of internet trolling encourages the audience's openness to give diverse responses and perceptions in politics in Malaysia. Thus, these responses and views will have a big impact on anything that is depicted visually, especially on social media. This study examines the ideology and power behind visual internet trolling on social media. For this purpose, the research methodology applies a qualitative approach based on visual content. Social media such as Twitter is used as the medium and unit of analysis of this study in visual sources. Adaptation of the theory uses Fairclough's (1995) critical discourse analysis and Visual Semiotics Theory by Kress and van Leeuwen (1996) in studying selected visual trolling. By using a combination and adaptation of these theories, visual ideology, and power can be best unraveled. The results of the stu..... 116 hits |

Rahaman Climate change and rapid urbanization are dramatically altering coastal ecosystems worldwide, with significant implications for land surface temperatures (LST) and carbon stock concentration (CSC). This study investigates the impacts of day and night time LST dynamics on CSC in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, from 1996 to 2021, with future projections to 2041. Using Landsat and MODIS imagery, we found that mean daytime LST increased by 3.57 °C over the 25-year period, while nighttime LST showed a slight decrease of 0.05 °C. Concurrently, areas with no carbon storage increased by 355.78%, while high and very high CSC zones declined by 14.15% and 47.78%, respectively. The Integrated Valuation of Ecosystem Services and Tradeoffs (InVEST) model estimated a 28.64 km2 reduction in high CSC areas from 1996 to 2021. Statistical analysis revealed strong negative correlations between LST and vegetation indices (R2 = −0.795 to −0.842, p < 0.001) and positive correlations with built-up indices (R2 ..... 85 hits |
