The aim of the study is to identify the materials used for teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) reading and the difficulties in selecting materials that cater to learners’ needs   and  abilities.  It  is  also  aimed  to  analyse  teachers’  views  on  English  Language Teaching  (ELT) materials in reading lessons and the principles considered in selecting or constructing  reading materials. Qualitative method was applied in this study. The data were collected through  pre-interview, reading lesson plans and post interview which involved three  English  as  Foreign   Language  (EFL)  Libyan  teachers  from  Libyan  international schools. The data was analysed using  the semantic analysis. Kajian ini bertujuan membina instrumen penilaian pembelajaran asas pembezaan dalam kalangan pelajar kejuruteraan di politeknik Sultan Azlan Shah. Instrumen yang dibina adalah   berbentuk  rubrik  dua  lapis  bagi  menilai  domain  kognitif  dan  afektif  pelajar. Domain   kognitif  terdiri  daripada  dua  konstruk  iaitu,  pengetahuan  sedia  ada  asas matematik dan  pengetahuan teknik asas pembezaan. This study is intended to develop a test instrument in testing sign language listening in School-based Assessment (SBA) and to test the effect of using the tests on deaf students. The purpose of this study is also to obtain validity and reliability of the test instrument known as Sign Language Listening Test for Deaf Candidate (IPULDCP). IPULDCP contains six elements namely instrument type, task, task form, item type, presentation mode and scoring method. This study involves the construction phase, the validity and reliability testing phase. It also examines the effect of IPULDCP usage on deaf students. The construction phase is to obtain data through questionnaires to special education teachers to determine the key elements in IPULDCP. The second phase is to obtain value of validity through interviews and written responses from a group of experts/specialists. This research is aimed to produce an efficient implementation technique for the 2-stage (G2) and 3-stage (G3) implicit Runge-Kutta Gauss methods in solving mathematical stiff problems.   Both methods are constructed by using Maple software and have been implemented by using Matlab  software numerically.  This research applied four imple- mentation strategies which are full Newton  without compensated summation (FNWSN), full Newton with compensated summation (FNCS), simplified  Newton without com- pensated summation (SNWCS) and simplified Newton with compensated summation  (SNCS). Comparison have been done with the implementations of Hairer and Wanner scheme, Cooper and  Butcher scheme, and González scheme. The aim of this study is to investigate empirically the factors that determine the level of automobile trade in East Asian countries by taking into account government policies as well as the role of MNEs. To do so, in this study we include dummies of import substitution industrialisation (ISI) and export orientation industrialisation (EOI) policies as well as Japanese FDI as additional explanatory variables in our augmented gravity models. We found that GDPs, distance, per capita income, FTA, government policies, language and FDI are the determinants for the development of automobile industry in each country in East Asia. In the case of auto P&C, apart from economic size, the role of government through trade policy (i.e., FTA) and industrial policies as well as the role of MNCs are the major contributors to the development both exports and imports of East Asian countries. Kajian   ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti penguasaaan kemahiran berfikir aras tinggi mengikut  empat  aras  iaitu  aplikasi,  analisis,  menilai  dan  mencipta  dalam  kalangan murid   Tahun  Lima  dalam  menyelesaikan  masalah  matematik  berayat.  Penguasaan kemahiran  berfikir   aras  tinggi  ini  diklasifasikan  berdasarkan  Taksonomi  Bloom semakan semula oleh Anderson dan  Krathwohl. The aim of this case study was to determine the correlation between pre-class task score and academic performance in an intermediate optics course. The study was also aimed to identify the  correlation between pre-class task score and students’ expectation. Pre- class  Reading  Task  for   Waves  and  Optics  (PRT-WO)  was  developed  to  examine student  knowledge  acquisition  in  term   of  pre-class  task  score.  A  group  of  37 undergraduates taking intermediate optic course in  one of Malaysian higher education institutions were involved in this study. PRT-WO was uploaded in  series prior to the corresponding classes throughout the semester. Student’s academic performance  in the course was measured by the final examination. This study aimed to develop the stochastic SIR-SI Age-Structured model to estimate the relative  risk  for leptospirosis  mapping specifically for  children  and  adults  in  Malaysia.  This study used model development as it research design. The methodology of this study took  into   account  the  transmission  of  leptospirosis  in  the  stochastic  SIR-SI  model (S=susceptible,    I=infected,   R=recovered   for   human   populations   and   S=susceptible, I=infected   for    vector   populations).   In   this   study,   the   existing   SIR-SI   model   was improvised and  adapted to the leptospirosis transmission. Makalah ini meneliti kefahaman dan kepekaan pelajar terhadap aplikasi gender gramatikal dalam pembinaan ayat bahasa Sepanyol. Seramai 30 pelajar bahasa Sepanyol Tahap 1 dipilih sebagai sampel dalam kajian ini. Sampel terdiri daripada pelbagai bangsa iaitu Melayu, Cina dan India. Sebanyak 20 ayat diberikan kepada pelajar untuk dianalisis sama ada mempunyai kesilapan gender gramatikal atau tidak dan ayat ini perlu diperbetulkan oleh pelajar. Kajian ini memilih pelajar tahap novis kerana bersesuaian dengan objektif kajian untuk menjelaskan kefahaman dan kepekaan pelajar terhadap atribusi gender gramatikal dalam ayat. Atribusi gender gramatikal yang menjadi fokus ialah kata nama, kata adjektif dan artikel yang terdapat dalam ayat. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan kefahaman yang minimum dalam kalangan pelajar terhadap penggunaan gender gramatikal dalam pembinaan ayat.
