Engineering Trainee Characteristic: How Does This Affect Modern Apprenticeship Training In Malaysia?

Modern apprenticeship training systems require trainees to have the capability to become highly skilled workers. However, most studies only deal with high-skill and knowledgeable terms without deliberating in depth what skills are required in the high-skilled intentions. Thus, this study is conducted to examine the characteristics of the trainers to form the model of modern apprenticeship trainer characteristics to develop highly skilled workers. Modern apprenticeship system should combines elements of mixed trainee ability. Previous study showed that most trainees enter public training institutions due to poor academic results. This creates the view of public vocational training institutions as second-class education. Study using grounded theory method was to identify the factors behinds successful trainees and how they manage their learning process. Proposed best practices to visualization of heritage buildings based on artistic considerations

The digital preservation of cultural heritage of 3D reconstructed objects presents a new challenge due to difficultiesassociated with this technique. The importance of 3D reconstruction especially in the context of preservation and visualization of heritage buildings as many studies have been conducted that underlined its importance. To this effect, the present study proposed a new digital preservation best practice to visualize heritage monuments and buildings based on artistic considerations for the graphic designer responsible for this task. The best practices presented in this study includes the open standards, procedures, observations as well as considerations that are needed on the objects to be regarded as acceptable for visualization purposes. Children with special needs, especially those with disability in mental, physical or social/emotional interactions, are marginalized. Many people still view them as being troublesome, having learning difficulties, unproductive and burdensome to society. The objectives of the research are; to identify whether musical drama can control the coordination of mental function of children; to identify whether musical drama can improve communication ability and expression of children; to discern whether musical drama can help children work with people around them; to find out if musical dramas can develop a child's emotional and physical health; to find out if musical drama can improve children's creativity. Exploring disabled students

The aim of this research is to explore the crucial dimensions of service quality experienced by disabled students at Malaysian HEIs. The Malaysian public universities were selected as a research context. This research involved disabled students registered at selected Malaysian public universities. Purposive sampling technique was utilized for selection of the respondents. Face-toface interview was conducted to gather the data. Thematic technique was performed to analyze the data. Result from the interview indicated that the disabled students were less satisfied with service experience offered by Malaysian public universities. The results also revealed that four dimensions need to give extra attention to improve the quality of disabled students’ service experience at Malaysian HEIs. This type of learning relies on imaginations to explore movements, depending on the types of movements to be created. Exploration of creative movements by using variety of props lead to the freedom of ideas in creative imaginations. The ability to master the process of movements’ creation by using props is essential in giving interpretations and forming the thoughts towards active and dynamic levels, to improve imaginative abilities. Artikel ini mengkaji aktivisme politik belia di Malaysia berdasarkan kepada beberapa indikator demografi seperti umur, jantina, dikotomi bandar dan luar bandar, serta tahap pendidikan. Perbincangan ini penting untuk menganalisis sama ada golongan belia di Malaysia adalah lebih aktif dalam aktiviti politik berbanding dengan golongan tua. Dengan menggunakan data soal selidik dari Asian Barometer Wave 2 (2005-2008) dan Wave 3 (2010-2012), dapatan kajian menunjukkan corak penglibatan politik golongan belia Malaysia adalah sama seperti hasil kajian literatur di Barat, khususnya di Amerika dan Britain iaitu golongan belia kurang melibatkan diri dalam politik konvensional, terutamanya mengundi dan menjadi ahli parti politik berbanding dengan golongan tua. Age group differences in political activism in Malaysia

There is a dearth of studies on age-related patterns of political activism in Malaysia, specifically on young people’s patterns of political participation relative to their elders, and in relation to the rich literature that has developed in Western democracies. By analysing survey data from Wave 6 (2010–2014) of the World Values Surveys (WVS), this study aims to investigate the differences in political engagement between younger and older people in Malaysia, including new repertoires outside the mainstream politics, by addressing the question of whether young Malaysians are more active in political activities compared to older groups. The findings conform to the expected patterns in the literature that young people are less likely to participate in conventional political activities than their respective elders.
