| 921 | 2024 Article | Sign language mobile apps: A systematic review of current app evaluation progress and solution framework Dianes, David Emmanuel Mobile apps for sign language are a fascinating area of research that merits a lot of attention. These apps are widely used due to their affordability and usability. Nevertheless, the quality of these apps needs to be evaluated if they are to have a significant influence. The outcomes of app quality assessment can also stimulate app development efforts and improvements to their functionality and accuracy. Therefore, to gain more in depth understanding, four academic databases (Science Direct, IEEE, Association for Computing Machinery, and Web of Science) were searched as part of a systematic literature review. The review highlighted that sign language apps require further development to support users in achieving the greatest possible usage and learning experience. We present a solution framework based on a quality assessment criterion for sign language mobile apps that could be adopted by academics and developers. Alternative identification, criteria, and development are the three pri..... 344 hits |

It is guided by key research questions: i)What theories or conceptual paradigms underpin the study?, ii) What variables intricately interface with the nuanced landscape of university student enrolment?, iii) Where is the designated research setting?, iv) What are the tools/approaches/models used for data analysis? and v) What are the main findings about student enrolment?. Employing a stringent PRISMA methodology, 17 articles were meticulously selected. These articles were subjected to qualitative appraisal based on predefined criteria, ensuring a focus on high-quality, relevant studies. The findings from these articles highlight significant themes: the rapid transition to online learning, the impact of socioeconomic factors on education access, trends towards internationalisation, the..... 246 hits |
| 923 | 2024 Article | Exploring the potential of copper oxide biogenic synthesis: A review article on the biomedical and dental implementations Al-Obaidi, Jameel Rabee Purpose: In the developing field of nano-materials synthesis, copper oxide nanoparticles (NPs) are deemed to be one of the most significant transition metal oxides because of their intriguing characteristics. Its synthesis employing green chemistry principles has become a key source for next-generation antibiotics attributed to its features such as environmental friendliness, ease of use and affordability. Because they are more environmentally benign, plants have been employed to create metallic NPs. These plant extracts serve as capping, stabilising or hydrolytic agents and enable a regulated synthesis as well. Design/methodology/approach: Organic chemical solvents are harmful and entail intense conditions during nanoparticle synthesis. The copper oxide NPs (CuO-NPs) synthesised by employing the green chemistry principle showed potential antitumor properties. Green synthesised CuO-NPs are regarded to be a strong contender for applications in the pharmacological, biomedical and environ..... 212 hits |
| 924 | 2024 Article | Scripting success: A systematic literature review of the process genre approach for writing in Asian education Singh, Charanjit Kaur Swaran The problem and the aim of the study. In the 21st century, the process genre approach has gained prominence among various writing methodologies. Numerous scholars have scrutinized its impact on writing within diverse educational settings. However, the extensive body of research makes it challenging to distil current theories, dependent variables, instruments and teaching methods for writing in Asian education. By doing so, it aims to uncover contemporary theories, effective practices, and relevant pedagogical techniques, contributing valuable insights to enhance writing education in this context. Research methods. The primary methodology employed in this study is the systematic literature review method, renowned for its rigorous approach to gathering, evaluating, and synthesizing existing research. The process initiates with comprehensive data searching across authoritative academic databases renowned for their scholarly rigour and reliability from 2019 to 2023, specifically Scopus, Wi..... 108 hits |
| 925 | 2024 Article | A review on learning analytics in mobile learning and assessment Muhammad Modi Lakulu Employers are facing difficulties in selecting the most suitable candidates for employment and the transition from education to work is challenging for young graduates. Therefore, it is important to have indicators that could show the suitability of a potential candidate for his/her chosen job. A person who possesses knowledge but lacks confidence may struggle to perform assigned tasks, while an overly confident person with limited knowledge is likely to make errors in their job. Although there is existing research on learning analytics related to assessments, the research on learning analytics specifically focused on the confidence-knowledge relationship based on assessment data is still lacking. This article aims to examine the application of analytics in providing insights based on assessment data that can be utilized by potential employers. To achieve this, a systematic review was carried out, analyzing a total of 141 articles. The findings contribute to a better understanding of t..... 181 hits |
| 926 | 2024 Article | Disruption of the Covid-19 pandemic on the agri-food sector: A systematic review of its implications in post-pandemic and future of food security Salisu Monsuru Adekunle The unprecedented challenges posed by the global COVID-19 pandemic have significantly impacted various sectors, with the agri-food system proving especially vulnerable to disruptions. Ensuring food security and bolstering the resilience of agri-food systems in the aftermath of the pandemic has emerged as a crucial concern. Utilizing the PRISMA protocol, this systematic literature review systematically searched relevant databases and repositories using specific keywords related to agri-food security in the pre and post-pandemic context. The final review incorporated 37 articles. The results revealed that the pandemic profoundly impacted all facets of the agri-food sector, particularly agri-food systems. Despite this, we identified several measures that were implemented or recommended to mitigate disruptions caused by the pandemic and ensure the resilience of the agrifood sector for future similar events. Robust policy measures, promotion of urban agriculture, support for small-scale far..... 193 hits |
| 927 | 2024 Article | A systematic review of exploratory factor analysis packages in R software Govindasamy, Priyalatha The increasing prevalence of exploratory factor analysis (EFA) applications in scholarly literature reflects its popularity and the convenience of computer-assisted analysis. With advancements in computer hardware and software, the complexity and variations of EFA analysis have also grown.
