2024 Article | Technology applications through cooperative learning in visual arts education among students in inclusive education programs: A fuzzy delphi approach Mohd Zahuri Khairani The post-COVID era has transformed the landscape of teaching and learning worldwide, including in Malaysia. The integration of technology has become an essential element in line with current needs and drastic changes in the world. The integration of technology can facilitate comprehensive and holistic teaching and learning processes. Teachers face challenges in designing and implementing teaching and learning for students in inclusive education programs. Therefore, this study aims to examine the elements required to integrate the use of applications in visual arts education. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Fuzzy Delphi technique. A questionnaire instrument was used to collect research data. A total of 16 experts from the fields of visual arts education, special education, and curriculum development were involved in the process of shaping this model. The findings of the study show that five out of seven elements were accepted by the experts with a consensus percentage e..... 158 hits
2024 Article | Illumination intelligent adaptation and analysis framework: A comprehensive solution for enhancing nighttime driving fatigue monitoring Nur Safinas Albakry Nighttime driving presents a critical challenge to road safety due to insufficient lighting and increased risk of driver fatigue. Existing methods for monitoring driver fatigue, mainly focusing on behavioral analysis and biometric monitoring, face significant challenges under low-light conditions. Their effectiveness, especially in dynamic lighting environments, is limited by their dependency on specific environmental conditions and active driver participation, leading to reduced accuracy and practicality in real-world scenarios. This study introduces a novel _Illumination Intelligent Adaptation and Analysis Framework (IIAAF)_, aimed at addressing these limitations and enhancing the accuracy and practicality of driver fatigue monitoring under nighttime low-light conditions. The IIAAF framework employs a multidimensional technology integration, including comprehensive body posture analysis and facial fatigue feature detection, per-pixel dynamic illumination adjustment technology, and a ..... 70 hits

2024 Article | Volatile oil components of popowia pisocarpa and antioxidant activity Wan Mohd Nuzul Hakimi W Salleh Popowia is a genus of flowering plants in the family Annonaceae. There are about 50 species, widely distributed in tropical Africa, Madagascar, South India, Indonesia, China, Malaysia, and Australia [1]. Popowia pisocarpa (Blume) Endl. ex Walp., known locally in Malaysia as _anggar-kuan_ or _buah manggi_, is mainly distributed in Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Java, Borneo, Philippines, Celebes, Moluccas, and New Guinea. It is a shrub or tree up to 12 m tall and grows in undisturbed forests at an altitude of up to 1,250 meter. The flowers are fragrant and are used as a perfume [2]. Phytochemical analysis discovered the isolation of alkaloids [3] and flavonoids [4, 5]. However, a literature search did not reveal any reports on the essential oil composition of P. pisocarpa. The leaves of P. pisocarpa were collected from Langgun Island, Langkawi, in August 2023, and identified by a botanist, Shamsul Khamis. The voucher specimen (PL-01/23) was deposited at the Herbarium of UPSI. T..... 76 hits
2024 Article | Validation of a teacher mathematics knowledge scale based on the Ernest framework among Malaysian teachers Nor Hasnida Che Md Ghazali The aim of the current research was to validate the Malaysian version of the mathematical knowledge scale based on the Ernest framework. The participants include 100 teachers from Kelantan, Malaysia. An exploratory factor analysis (EFA) with principal components analysis and varimax rotation was conducted. This research determines the number of factors through eigenvalues greater than one and frames the structure of the scale through factor loading. The value of the eigenvalue and factor loading are considered in this research to frame and develop the structure of the scale. Furthermore, the reliability of the scale was tested with Cronbach’s alpha. The results showed six factors on the scale explaining 67.39% of the variances. A total of 26 items with factor loading greater than 0.60 were determined for the scale. The structure of the scale was as three items in the first factor, two items in the second factor, five items in the third factor, four items in the fourth factor, 10 item..... 153 hits
2024 Article | The influence of accounting students’ personality traits toward their entrepreneurship intention Noor Lela Ahmad This paper intends to explore entrepreneurship intention among the youth by examining their personality traits. A validated questionnaire was employed and distributed to representatives of each university, obtaining a total of 756 responses. The collected data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and utilized partial least square-structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) to analyze the hypotheses. The results revealed that personality traits influence entrepreneurship intention of accounting students’ and conscientiousness being the most significant trait with a coefficient of 0.612. This paper suggests that personality traits namely conscientiousness, extraversion, openness to experience and agreeableness can boost entrepreneurship attitude, thus it should be optimized systematically into the education context to shape young personalities that are inclined to..... 187 hits

It substitutes the public examination system at primary school level and holistically gives prominence to summative and formative assessment. This case study examined the intended objectives of CBA in relation to its actual impact on bottom 40 (B40) income group pre-school and primary school students, identifying the effectiveness and challenges of CBA implementation and highlighting the barriers that hinder its success in achieving educational goals. In-depth interviews were conducted with 13 participants selected from a quota sample to gather data. The interview findings were analyzed to form themes and were confirmed by experts through a Cohen Kappa index of 0.803. The findings regarding the effectiveness of CBA showed that CBA is a holistic assessment for B40 students, especially students who are weak in learning, as it encompasses a comprehensive learning and continuous assessment. CBA is also benefic..... 188 hits |

2024 Article | Peer-seating groups and social participation by students with learning disabilities in full-inclusion in Malaysian secondary schools Hasrul Hosshan In Malaysian secondary education, typically only academically able students with learning disabilities and acceptable behaviour join mainstream classrooms for full inclusion. Social participation at school is one key indicator of inclusive education outcomes. Most Malaysian mainstream classrooms group students into small fixed peer-seating groups. This group could represent one support for social participation available to students with learning disabilities (LD) in inclusion classrooms. However, nothing is currently known about the views and experiences of social participation from the perspective of Malaysian students with LD or about the support provided by their peer-seating group in mainstream classrooms. We investigated the social participation of four focal students with LD in two Malaysian inclusive secondary schools, using a qualitative multiple case study design. The peer-seating group played a prominent role in focal students’ social participation. Several themes identifie..... 114 hits
