This study seeks to identify effects of determinants for computers use among teachers in Malaysia. In Malaysia, there is widespread recognition that computer can play a powerful role in supplementing and complimenting the process of teacher’s teaching and learning. Given current recognition of the value of computer integration, as well as the investment costs that technologies represent for schools, this study attempted to develop a model which demonstrates the variables that affect computer use among teachers and which also explain its interactions. The proposed research model is based on previous models of technology acceptance. Three variables (computer teaching efficacy, computer attitude and learning outcomes) were selected to build a model for this study. Kajian ini bertujuan membangunkan sebuah Modul Pengurusan Mikroskop untuk pembantu makmal sekolah menengah. Pembangunan modul ini adalah berdasarkan Model Pembinaan Modul Sidek dengan menggunakan kaedah gabungan deskriptif dan kualitatif. Penilaian terhadap kesahan dilakukan oleh pakar dalam bidang Biologi, manakala kebolehpercayaan dan kebolehgunaan modul dinilai berdasarkan kepada maklumat kefahaman pembantu makmal terhadap modul. Empat orang pakar terlibat dalam pengukuran kesahan kandungan, manakala kebolehpercayaan dan kebolehgunaan modul dinilai daripada 105 orang pembantu makmal. Hasil kajian mendapati Modul Pengurusan Mikroskop yang dibangun mempunyai kesahan kandungan yang baik dan kebolehpercayaan yang tinggi. Dapatan kajian juga menunjukkan semua pembantu makmal sekolah menengah mudah memahami dan menggunakan Modul Pengurusan Mikroskop dengan berkesan. Long-memory is often observed in time series data. The existence of long-memory in a data set implies that the successive data points are strongly correlated i.e. they remain persistent for quite some time. A commonly used approach in modelling the time series data such as the Box and Jenkins models are no longer appropriate since the assumption of stationary is not satisfied. Thus, the scaling analysis is particularly suitable to be used for identifying the existence of long-memory as well as the extent of persistent data. In this study, an analysis was carried out on the observed daily mean per hour of ozone concentration that were available at six monitoring stations located in the urban areas of Peninsular Malaysia from 1998 to 2006. This study aimed to explore sports science student teacher’s (n =100), usage and perceptions of Mosston’s Spectrum of Teaching Styles. The study adopted a qualitative approach of document analyses to investigate the predominant styles used by the student teachers during their teaching practical session in schools. This research, too employed a survey to explore their perceptions about the different teaching styles. The finding revealed 46% student teachers’ lesson predominantly used style B (practice style), followed by 38% style A (command style) especially in teaching fitness topics in their practical teaching session. Findings indicated there were significant differences in perception of using 11 different teaching styles where F(10,1089) = 13.67, p< 0.05, indicated style B was the most perceived teaching style followed by style H (divergent production style) and style F (guided discovery style) among student teachers. This research aimed to investigate the adsorption of heavy metals and dyes using adsorbent and filter cartridge from kenaf bast fiber (KBF). This research was conducted in several stages starting with adsorption and characterization studies followed by production and evaluation of filter cartridge prototype. Adsorption was studied through removal of heavy metals (Cd, Cu, Ni, Pb and Zn) and dyes (Congo red, Methyl orange, Methylene blue and Rhodamine B.) in single- and multi-systems. The effects of experimental variables (solution pH, initial concentrations and adsorbent dosage) on adsorption of KBF were also assessed. The adsorption equilibrium was analyzed using Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk melihat strategi dan peranan Tun Abdul Razak dalam menangani rusuhan dan pembinaan perpaduan antara kaum. Kaedah kajian yang dilakukan adalah bersifat kualitatif dan kronologi yang mana ianya bersifat subjektif, sumber maklumat yang diperolehi diambil daripada sumber berbentuk primer dan sekunder. The purpose of this study is to categorise the trapped rice field rat, Rattus argentiventer in Pinang Tunggal paddy field into their respective haplotype groups and to investigate if mutation occurs in the VKORC1 gene of Rattus argentiventer that was exposed to anticoagulant rodenticide. The study also aims to determine the warfarin residue level in the liver of the rat samples. Prior to haplotype analysis, the DNA of the captured rodents was extracted and the HVR1 of mitochondrial DNA was amplified. Furthermore, Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism (RFLP) analysis was used in order to investigate the mutation of VKORC1 gene. The rats’ livers were also being used to analyse the residue level of warfarin intake using the High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). The results showed that two haplotype groups among the 58 samples were detected and no mutation was found in the entire trapped rodent.
