Assessment of Variability of Essential Oil Components in the Genus Lindera (Lauraceae) by Multivariate Analysis
Nur Nabilah Mohd Zaini
Essential oils hold tremendous medicinal attributes and are greatly exploited industrially worldwide. Lindera is an important genus of the Lauraceae family of plants which are known for their medicinal values. In the present study, eleven studies reported on Lindera essential oils were selected and reviewed. Then the variability of essential oil components in the genus Lindera were assessed by multivariate analysis. The chemical analysis enabled the identification of qualitative and quantitative differences among the essential oils. The essential oils were characterized by high proportions of germacrene B, spathulenol, nerolidol, ?-caryophyllene, dihydromyrcene, furanosesquiterpenoid, sesquithuriferol, and linalool. Then, the differences in the chemical profiles of the essential oil were confirmed by the multivariate statistical analysis, which was determined via principal component analysis (PCA) and hierarchical clustering analysis (HCA). The analysis classified the Lindera species i.....

Iapetus Equatorial Ridge: The Understanding from The Quran and The Hadith
Nusairah Ramli
In contemporary society, the ubiquitous use of the Internet has become an unavoidable aspect of daily life. However, unregulated usage carries the potential for addiction, leading to a heightened sense of disconnection from the tangible world of technology. This empirical investigation conducted a quantitative exploration to establish the connection between Internet addiction, depression, and the willingness to utilise counselling services among the student body affiliated with one of Universiti Putra Malaysias residential colleges. The sample, consisting of 283 students, was meticulously selected through random sampling and represented a spectrum from first-year to final-year students. Data collection was executed through a structured questionnaire comprising three distinct instruments: the Internet Addiction Test (IAT), the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), and the Attitudes Towards Seeking Professional Psychological Help-Short Form (ATSPPH-SF) inventory. A preliminary analysis of the.....

The Correlation Between Different Interventions in Writing Strategy and Self-Confidence in Constructing Argumentative Essays at Higher Education Level
Sabarun
INTRODUCTION: In every country, an adequate and reliable blood supply can be assured by a stable base of regular, voluntary, and unpaid blood donors. However, with the strike of COVID-19 around the world, fewer donors have come forward to donate blood since the government's movement control order. Therefore, to ensure the blood supply is always sufficient, this study discussed the Malaysians' motivation and intention to donate blood during the COVID-19. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The structural focus group discussion was conducted among nine informants. The informants are classified into four groups, which are non, first-time, regular, and lapsed (repeated/occasional) blood donors. RESULTS: It indicated that the regular and lapsed group of blood donors were motivated by the satisfaction of donating blood. Meanwhile, first-time donors are motivated to donate blood because of extrinsic rewards. However, the donors attested that the movement control order restricted their movement to go to th.....
