Teaching approach for indigenous people: An empirical study from Pahang, Malaysia

This study aims to examine the approach in teaching practice to muallaf (Muslim indigenous people: orang asli) and the factors of attraction toward the acceptance of Islamic understanding among them. The study was conducted at the village of muallaf orang asli at Paya Sendayan, Temerloh Pahang, Malaysia. Design of this study are using the qualitative methods. Data were collected by observation and selected informant interviews based on purposive sampling methods. Data were analysed using the thematic methods. The results of the study found that the approach in teaching practice to muallaf orang asli is syarah (explanation) and discussion presented through storytelling, stimulation method and talaqqi musyafahah (face to face). How can we resocialize adolescents in rehabilitation schools in Malaysia? Islamic education and programs as an alternative approach

Resocialization is an important process for a juvenile, and it can be achieved through various means, one of which is religion. This article solely focuses on the resocialization of juveniles through the implementation of a religious approach. A case study design was used involving two rehabilitation schools housing male and female juveniles who have broken the law and whose ages range from 10 to 18. Two schools, each housing a different gender, were chosen to provide a more detailed understanding of the resocialization process. A total of 10 teachers and 15 juveniles were selected as respondents through the purposive sampling technique. This technique allows the selection of appropriate individuals based on the scope of the study. Data was gathered through in-depth interviews with all respondents. Teaching at rehabilitation schools: An exploration of approaches

The purpose of this study is to explore the teaching approaches that are appropriate for juveniles so that they can gain knowledge and skills in line with current demands and develop their potential. A qualitative approach was employed, specifically a constructivist grounded theory research design, involving 15 teachers and three administrators from the three rehabilitation schools. To ensure an in-depth exploration of these issues, data was collected using semi-structured interviews. Observations were also carried out in order to support the interview data and to give a full picture from various perspectives. The findings showed that the teachers practiced various teaching approaches that were appropriate for the conditions and problems of the juveniles at the schools, as detailed in this article. Geometric AR-based pedagogical module is beneficial: Affecting factors from the lens of Malaysian mathematics secondary school teachers

The purpose of this study was to predict the likelihood that teachers would consider the Geometric AR-based Pedagogical Module (GeAR-PM) as beneficial, and study the factors that influence their decision. The data for this study was gathered via a survey method. A sample of 202 Malaysian secondary school teachers was randomly selected as respondents for this study. Specifically, the respondents were asked to answer questions using an instrument which was developed based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model. This study comprised four UTAUT variables: performance expectation, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions, and one additional variable, self-efficacy. All variables showed high reliability with Cronbach Alpha_s values between 0.87 to 0.91. Seeking higher order construction of cognitive abilities in a psychosocial learning environment

In this study, we created a psychosocial learning environment consisting of five types of interaction, namely: student collaboration; specific learning objectives and curriculum coherence; learning facilities; independent learning; and constructivist instruction. This research aimed to determine the scope in which the five modes of contact improved students_ learning outcomes in higher order cognitive abilities. This quantitative study involved form four accounting students (N=352) in Malaysia who completed a self-administered questionnaire that included the higher order cognitive abilities (HOCA) test, the instruments of students_ perceived learning environment, and zone-specific demographic data. The results showed two of the five inventory of students_ perceived learning environment (ISPLE) scores. Education is vital for a person_s development, especially from an Islamic perspective, where the first goal is to foster a servant attitude, talent, personality, and outlook on life. Preschool education is crucial in nurturing a child's nature, emotions, and cognitive and social skills in the first five years. However, the significance of a good school environment, particularly in moral formation, varies among institutions. Therefore, this article aims to build consensus among experts on the role of school environment and classroom management in preschoolers_ moral development. The monitoring of children's nutritional status serves as a crucial tool for assessing the health of both children and society as a whole. In this regard, machine learning (ML) has been employed to predict nutritional status for monitoring purposes. This topic has been extensively discussed. However, the question remains as to which algorithm or ML framework can yield the highest accuracy in predicting the nutritional status of children within a specific region. Furthermore, determining the appropriate dataset for predictions is also crucial. Wayang Kulit Kelantan (WKK) is a traditional performance that has a long process in the learning session. This covers various aspects such as the background of the performance, repertoire, gambalan (puppets), as well as musical instruments and songs. This knowledge requires at least a year to understand the skills and techniques used. Therefore, Wayang Edu is a digital application built based on the analyze, design, development, implementation, evaluation (ADDIE) model to save learning time with traditional practitioners. The majority of users acknowledge that Wayang Edu offers a wealth of information and enables them to gain in-depth knowledge. Consequently, utilizing visual elements to convey messages is more impactful compared to traditional learning methods. Apart from that, Wayang Edu can be used anywhere at the user’s convenience. Distribution of skill and encouraging motivation to enhance resilience: Evidence from accounting personnel during covid-19 crisis

Purpose: This study aims to identify the distribution of skill evolution for accounting personnel during the health crisis and investigate the impact of accounting skills in developing resilience among accounting personnel. Research design, data, and methodology: A total of 131 respondents of accounting personnel participated in a self-administered survey questionnaire. This data is analysed using the partial least square structural equation modeling. Results: The results show that accounting skills, digital skills, and writing skills have a significant impact on developing accounting personnel_s motivation, subsequently leading to resilience. Conclusions: This study adds to the literature on the new requirements and future profiles of Malaysian organisation and the accounting profession.
