2024 Article | Impact of Digital Learning on Teaching Competency Among B.Ed. Trainees R.Ravi ABSTRACT: Teaching Competence refers to a set of knowledge, abilities, beliefs teacher possess and bring to the teaching situation. It defined as adequacy for a task of required knowledge skills and abilities. It emphasizes on the ability haw to demonstrate knowledge. In the present scenario we need a competent teachers may sustain and the progression to facing challenges of teaching-learning process. So, with the intention of this, the investigator indents to carry out a research on impact of digital learning on teaching competency among B.Ed. trainees. The data were collected from 182 B.Ed. trainees from private colleges of education in Coimbatore District using Attitude towards Digital Learning scale adopted from Paula Mae Bigatel et. al. (2017). The simple random sampling method was adopted to select the sample. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive and one way anova. The study concludes that there is no significant mean score difference in teaching competency between ..... 26 hits
2024 Thesis | Effects of parenting stress and parental perceived social support on the relationship between parental involvement and social skill of children with intellectual disability in China Han, Yuting The purpose of this study was to develop a relationship model between parental involvement and the social skills of children with intellectual disabilities (ID) and to examine the role that parenting stress and parental perceived social support play in this relationship. A total of 692 parents of Chinese children with ID were selected as the sample using convenience sampling. The scales utilized in this study were the Social Responsiveness Scale Short Form, Parenting Stress Index-Short Form-15, Parental Involvement Questionnaire, and Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support. The data were analyzed using SPSS 29.0 and SmartPLS 4.0. The findings revealed that parental involvement had a significant positive effect on social skills (_ = -0.091, p = 0.014) and a significant negative effect on parenting stress (_ = -0.137, p = 0.001). Additionally, parenting stress had a significant negative effect on social skills (_ = -0.546, p = 0.000). A mediation effect of parenting stress was..... 77 hits
2024 Thesis | The methodology of the contemporaries in rejecting hadith (Al-Sahihain as models), analytical critical study Younes, Wafika This research, entitled "The Methodology of the Contemporaries in Rejecting Hadith (al-Sahihain as Models), An Analytical - Critical Study " dealt with the methodology of some contemporary researchers and intellectuals in dealing with the noble Bukhari and Sahih Muslim as models for the Prophe - tic hadith, and took Sahih al study. These contemporaries spared no effort in raising doubts and problems about the authenticity of some hadiths and the confirmation of their attribution to the Prophet ___ ____ ____ ____, under the pretext of contradicting the apparent meaning of the Noble Qur'an or contradicting reason, logic, and reality as they see it. This research followed the inductive, analytical, and critical methodologies, so it studied the ideas and views of these skeptical groups and clarifies their general and specific approaches regarding the terminology of hadith. It also reviewed the efforts of the just scholars in responding to and refuting those doubts, demonstrating the weakne..... 58 hits
2024 Thesis | Optical, optomechanical and density functional theory modelling investigation of calixarene Langmuir-Blodgett thin film for drug encapsulation Nur Farah Nadia Abd Karim The research aim is to create a calixarene-based nanosensor targeting paraaminobenzoic acid (PABA) using Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) method. The properties of the LB film were assessed. The optical and optomechanical characteristics were examined with ultraviolet visible (UV-vis) spectroscopy and optical tweezers (OT). The host-guest binding energy was calculated using DFT method. Calix[4]arene (C4) and calix[8]arene (C8) solutions with concentration of 0.47 mM and 0.23 mM respectively, were prepared and different PABA concentrations (0.01 to 0.71 mM) was used to study the interactions. The thin films were optically analysed at wavelength of 250 to 400 nm. Microclusters with radii of 0.5-1.5 _m were optically trapped at various power density (0.23 to 2.49 MW/cm2). Complex_s binding energy were calculated using optimisation calculation. C4 and C8 monolayers effectively trapped PABA, resulting in 1:1 and 1:2 stoichiometry ratios. C8 was significantly more sensitive towards PABA, detecting eve..... 61 hits
2024 Thesis | Development and effectiveness of STEM disccovery learning (STEMDISLEARN) module critical thinking skills, collaboration skills and achievement in differential equations course Rita Pramujiyanti Khotimah This study aims to develop a STEMDISLEARN module; to test the module's effectiveness on the critical thinking (CT) skills, collaboration skills, and achievement in the Differential Equations (DE) Course; and to test the relationships between CT and collaboration skills, the relationship between CT and achievement, and the relationship between achievement and collaboration. The research employs design development research to develop the module. A quasi-experimental design was used to test the module's effectiveness. The research sample involved 123 students who enrolled in the DE course in the Mathematics Education Program at a university in Surakarta; 64 students of the experimental group, and 59 students of the control group. A t-test was conducted to determine the module's effectiveness on the critical thinking (CT) skills, collaboration skills, and achievement. A Pearson correlation analysis was conducted to test the relationship between CT and collaboration, the relationship betwee..... 162 hits

2024 Article | Development and Validation of a Comprehensive Assessment Instrument for Game-Based Learning to Enhance Understanding of “Vali Mikumidam” in Tamil Grammar Parveen Murugadevan Abstract: This study explores the effectiveness of a game-based learning tool, the *Ka Sa Ta Pa* game, in enhancing students’ understanding of *Vali Mikumidam* (strengthened consonant places) in Tamil grammar. Recognizing the challenges students face in mastering complex grammatical rules through traditional methods, this research introduces an interactive approach aimed at secondary school students studying Tamil as a language subject. Utilizing a quasi-experimental design with pre-tests and post-tests, the study evaluates the game's impact on students' comprehension and retention of *Vali Mikumidam*. Findings indicate a significant improvement in post-test scores, suggesting that the game fosters a better grasp of grammar through engaging and hands-on learning. The study highlights the potential of game-based tools to address specific language learning difficulties, providing insights for educators and policymakers in implementing innovative methods within the Tamil language curric..... 50 hits

By having a good writing skills we can Express what we want to convey to others. We also can develop our thinking skills. Some students are not really good in writing skills especially in argumentative essay. This research is about developing argumentative writing skills among form 3 students by using constructivism theory which invented by Jean Piaget in 1964. There are many research to develop students writing skills by using this theory. So that researcher used the theory in writing argumentative essay in Tamil language. The case study of this research is five students who choose Tamil language as their additional subject in exam from SMK Taman Selesa Jaya. For doing this research researcher do pre-test, post-test, collection of argumentative essays and feedback form. By doing this we can improve the understanding of students how important is the writing skills. Not only that we also can improve students understanding to write ..... 54 hits |
