| 2021 article | Teachers\ successful information and communication technology integration in primary school: a Malaysian cultural-historical case study Nor Asiah Razak Despite extensive research on ICT integration among teachers, limited knowledge was given to understand ICT's successful integration among teachers. For those purposes, a single-case study aimed to explain the successful integration of ICT by teachers into teaching in one national primary school in Malaysia. Data were collected using a multi-method of data collection, including in-depth interviews, non-participants observations, and document analysis. The results discovered three models that lead to teachers' successful ICT integration in teaching, explaining how the interactions between the contradictions, causes of contradictions, and resolutions of contradictions have hindered or influenced the teachers to integrate ICT in their teaching. The findings indicate that the activity system of department and school (prior activities) affecting the classroom activity system (recent activity) led to the successful integration of ICT by teachers in teaching. ? 2022 American Society of Civil ..... 524 hits |
| 2021 article | Teacher educators\ vision of an \ideal\ teacher Singh, Charanjit Kaur Swaran There is no clear definition of what constitutes an ideal teacher educator, particularly from the perspective of Malaysian educators. Developing teacher educators? vision of an ideal teacher ensures that teachers have high levels of professional, personal, and contextual dimensions in teaching practices, including competence in the practice of professional teaching, knowledge, and understanding. Therefore, the objective of this study was to find out the range of visions of what it is to be a good teacher educator in a Malaysian teacher education institution. Seventeen teacher educators from an established university in Malaysia participated in the study. A survey consisting of eight questions was used as the research instrument. The data obtained from the questionnaire were analysed by using descriptive and textual analysis techniques. The findings reveal certain criteria of an ideal teacher such as possessing sound subject matter knowledge, mastery of both generic and content-specific..... 593 hits |
| 2021 article | Systematic review of training environments with motor imagery brain-computer interface: coherent taxonomy, open issues and recommendation pathway solution Albahri, A. S. The brain?computer interface (BCI) technique represents one of the furthermost active interdisciplinary study domains and includes a wide knowledge spectrum from a different disciplines such as medicine, neuroscience, machine learning and rehabilitation. The motor imagery (MI) technique based on BCI has been broadly applied in rehabilitation especially for upper limb motor movement where people with disabilities need to restore or improve their walking capability. Nowadays, virtual reality is a beneficial scheme for BCI users because it proposes a relatively cost-effective, safe way for BCI users to train and explain themselves in using BCI in a computer-generated environment earlier than in a real-life scenario. Depicting the whole picture for signal processing techniques and methods utilised in MI-based BCI training environments is difficult. In addition, numerous challenges and open issues regarding signal processing and pattern recognition exist in the literature of the current top..... 519 hits |
| 2021 article | Synthesis, spectroscopic, and photophysical studies of phosphorescent Bis(2-(2,4-difluorophenyl)pyridine)Iridium(III) complex containing derivative of 1H-1,2,4-triazole anchillary ligand Noorshida Mohd Ali A cationic complex of iridium(III), [Ir(2,4-F2ppy)2 (F2 bpyta)]PF6 utilizing 1,2,4-triazolepyridyl as an anchillary ligand modified with a 2,6-difluorobenzyl substituent was synthesized and characterized. The aromatic signals of pyridyltriazole and phenylpyridine proton were detected in the1 H-NMR spectrum between 10.00 and 7.00 ppm. Only one singlet peak was detected at 8.46 ppm H(8) shifted to the upfield, demonstrating that C5 was coordinated to the central iridium metal. The bands exhibited in the range of 1555?1431 cm?1 in the IR spectrum because of the C=C and C=N aromatic rings stretching pyridine, phenyl, and triazole vibrations. The UV-Vis absorption spectrum showed a slight and broad absorbance peak at lower energy at a lmax = 371 nm (e = 6129 M?1 cm?1) in the visible range due to1 MLCT and3 MLCT transitions. Blue emission was observed in the steady-state emission spectral of [Ir(2,4-F2 ppy)2 (F2 bpyta)]PF6 and the other two previously synthesized iridium(III) complexes in CH..... 373 hits |
| 2021 article | Synthesis, properties and application of titanium dioxide doped with nitrogen. its effectiveness on photo degradation glutathione-s-transferase (GST) enzymes pupae instar of aedes aegypti Alsalih, Moatasem The sol-gel method was used to create N-doped TiO2. From the characterization results, it was found that N-doped TiO2 using Titanium(IV) ammonia solution and calcination tetraisopropoxide 600 K provided the most appropriate properties for acting as the photo catalyst can be use as inhibitor of GST. SEM, AFM and XRD results indicated that this N-doped TiO2 catalyst had high crystallinity because its titania precursor was simply hydrolyzed completely so no organic contents blocked initial phase construction. SEM and AFM results demonstrated that its surface morphology was spherical like fluffy powders. Moreover, with increasing calcination temperature, its anatase-to-rutile phase transformation was retarded by the incorporated nitrogen. Elemental Analysis and UV-Vis/DR results also suggested that nitrogen could be dormant in the TiO2 lattice with strong bonds, causing the effect on the band gap structure by adding energy states nearly valence band of TiO2. All of these properties enhance..... 597 hits |
