Minimising the production of e-waste helps preserve resources and reducing the amount of energy drawn from the earth. One of the strategies to address this problem is raising e-waste disposal awareness in a sustainable manner among the community. This article aims to identify the level of e-waste disposal awareness among the Malaysia community. This study involved 500 people from nine districts in Selangor, Malaysia by using stratified random sampling method. A questionnaire instrument was used to obtain feedback. The three variables of e-waste disposal awareness studied were e-waste disposal knowledge, e-waste disposal attitudes and e-waste disposal practices. Each variable was divided into three sub-variables; environmental, social and economic. The results showed that the respondents’ e-waste disposal knowledge and e-waste disposal attitudes were..... 1005 hits |

Hanifah Mahat This article verified the key elements for the determinants of students’ knowledge in sustainable practices of energy saving. This study involved 423 students from ten primary schools in Batang Padang district, Perak, Malaysia. A five-level Likert scale was used as an instrument to record the responses. Overall, the questionnaire achieved reliability, with Cronbach alpha values for each variable being greater than 0.7. The data obtained were processed using exploratory factor analysis to observe the factors’ structure of energy saving knowledge. Next, confirmatory factor analysis was conducted to validate the pre-determined constructs. The findings from both analyses identified and validated the four key elements of students’ knowledge of sustainable energy conservation practice as: (i) electricity saving; (ii) water saving; (iii) maintaining environmental practice; and (iv) practice of the 3Rs (recycle, reuse and reduce).. 819 hits |

The respondent observation consisted of three teachers who had more than 10 years of experience teaching Form Six geography and who were working in the areas of Batang Padang district, Perak and Hulu Selangor district, Malaysia. The variables we assessed were practical knowledge, subject-content knowledge, pedagogical content knowledge, pedagogical technology knowledge, teachers’ teaching of professional behaviours and attitudes, and values modified from the Quality Level Rubric of the Malaysian Education Quality Standards. The observation findings showed that each teacher scored different points, ranging from three to four for the assessed variables. Teachers’ pedagogical technology knowledge needs to be improved as two out of three teachers were still using Teaching Aid Materi..... 783 hits |
| 8374 | 2019 Article | Classification of daily torrential rainfall patterns based on a robust correlation measure Shazlyn Milleana Shaharudin The objective of this study is to identify the main spatial distribution patterns associated with torrential rainfall days that linked to the topography of Peninsular Malaysia. This is done by applying cluster analysis on the most relevant principal directions extracted from a principal components analysis of the between day correlation. However, the characteristic of rainfall data in Peninsular Malaysia involve skewed observations which only take positive values and are skewed towards higher values. Thus, applying PCA based Pearson correlation on rainfall data set could affect cluster partitions and generate extremely unbalanced clusters. Tukey's biweight correlation is introduced to overcome the problem where the weight function down weights data values that is far from the center of the data. The findings indicate that ten rainfall patterns obtained are quite definite and clearly display the dominant role extended by the complex topography and exchange monsoons of the peninsular.

| 8375 | 2019 Article | Application of improved chaotic method in determining number of k-nearest neighbor for CO data series Nor Zila Abd Hamid This study is designed to i) apply chaotic approach in predicting Carbon Monoxide (CO) data series and ii) improve the method in determining number of k–nearest neighbor. Chaotic approach is one alternative approach to predict any data series. Prediction through chaotic approach is made after three important parameters which are delay time τ, embedding dimension m and numbers of nearest neighbor k were determined. Therefore, the chaotic approach is applied. In this study, predictions are done to Carbon Monoxide time series observed at Shah Alam in Malaysia. Parameters τ and m are determined through average mutual information and Cao method respectively. While for k, most of the past researches frequently used try and error method. In this study an improvement of the method in determining the number of k is introduced. This improved method is done through plotting the graph of k versus the correlation coefficient (cc) of prediction model. Parameter cc is obtained through the predict..... 676 hits |

Within the L-System, non-regular and complex plant turn out to be all more numerically sensible. In any case, some control parameters should be adjusted again and to get the correct L-System axioms and productions protocols so as produce the good plants modeling. In this paper, an cross-compiling l-Systems stage are created for developing plant models from squiggly structures of computer graphics application to genuine numerically based representations. The determinations are worked using enabling the standards JSON IDE (Java Script Object Notation Integrated Development Environment) within primitive custom-made to LSystems algorithms. Besides, from plant modeled, a music score based on scientific pitch notation is generated. Toward the finish of this paper, various outlined programming precedentis gives through graphic interpretations on L-System... 466 hits |

Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation. The results of the anthropometric profile indicate that almost all teams have an endo-meso (more muscular) body, but the results of the relationship showed that significant relationship between the anthropometric profile and the performance were only found in the bowling team, r = 0.13, p= 0.14, p < 0.05. For hockey, netball, and volleyball teams did not show significant relationship (r = 0.15, p = 0.74, p> 0.05), (r =0.12, ..... 1384 hits |
| 8380 | 2019 Article | An efficient method to improve the clustering performance using hybrid robust principal component analysis-spectral biclustering in rainfall patterns identification Shazlyn Milleana Shaharudin In this study, hybrid RPCA-spectral biclustering model is proposed in identifying the Peninsular Malaysia rainfall pattern. This model is a combination between Robust Principal Component Analysis (RPCA) and biclustering in order to overcome the skewness problem that existed in the Peninsular Malaysia rainfall data. The ability of Robust PCA is more resilient to outlier given that it assesses every observation and downweights the ones which deviate from the data center compared to classical PCA. Meanwhile, two way-clustering able to simultaneously cluster along two variables and exhibit a high correlation compared to one-way cluster analysis. The experimental results showed that the best cumulative percentage of variation in between 65%-70% for both Robust and classical PCA. Meanwhile, the number of clusters has improved from six disjointed cluster in Robust PCA-kMeans to eight disjointed cluster for the proposed model. Further analysis shows that the proposed model has smaller variatio..... 1720 hits |
