L-Germs: L-System based plant modeling and music score generation through scientific pitch notation
Lim, Chen Kim
The mission for photo-realism plants modeling areas yet open test. Within the L-System, non-regular and complex plant turn out to be all more numerically sensible. In any case, some control parameters should be adjusted again and to get the correct L-System axioms and productions protocols so as produce the good plants modeling. In this paper, an cross-compiling l-Systems stage are created for developing plant models from squiggly structures of computer graphics application to genuine numerically based representations. The determinations are worked using enabling the standards JSON IDE (Java Script Object Notation Integrated Development Environment) within primitive custom-made to LSystems algorithms. Besides, from plant modeled, a music score based on scientific pitch notation is generated. Toward the finish of this paper, various outlined programming precedentis gives through graphic interpretations on L-System...

Anthropometric profile of UPSI athletes during Masum 2018
Noorzaliza Osman
This study aimed to determine the anthropometrics of athletes representing Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) during the Malaysian Inter-varsity Sports (MASUM) tournament, 2018. In this study, 50 athletes consisted of 15 hockey players, 12 netball players, 13 volleyball players and 10 volleyball players were recruited as participants. Percentage of body fat was measured using formula by Jackson, Pollock and Ward (1980) while somatotype were determine using the scale by Heath and Carter. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation. The results of the anthropometric profile indicate that almost all teams have an endo-meso (more muscular) body, but the results of the relationship showed that significant relationship between the anthropometric profile and the performance were only found in the bowling team, r = 0.13, p= 0.14, p < 0.05. For hockey, netball, and volleyball teams did not show significant relationship (r = 0.15, p = 0.74, p> 0.05), (r =0.12, .....

An efficient method to improve the clustering performance using hybrid robust principal component analysis-spectral biclustering in rainfall patterns identification
Shazlyn Milleana Shaharudin
In this study, hybrid RPCA-spectral biclustering model is proposed in identifying the Peninsular Malaysia rainfall pattern. This model is a combination between Robust Principal Component Analysis (RPCA) and biclustering in order to overcome the skewness problem that existed in the Peninsular Malaysia rainfall data. The ability of Robust PCA is more resilient to outlier given that it assesses every observation and downweights the ones which deviate from the data center compared to classical PCA. Meanwhile, two way-clustering able to simultaneously cluster along two variables and exhibit a high correlation compared to one-way cluster analysis. The experimental results showed that the best cumulative percentage of variation in between 65%-70% for both Robust and classical PCA. Meanwhile, the number of clusters has improved from six disjointed cluster in Robust PCA-kMeans to eight disjointed cluster for the proposed model. Further analysis shows that the proposed model has smaller variatio.....

A comparison on classical-hybrid conjugate gradient method under exact line search
Shazlyn Milleana Shaharudin
One of the popular approaches in modifying the Conjugate Gradient (CG) Method is hybridization. In this paper, a new hybrid CG is introduced and its performance is compared to the classical CG method which are RivaieMustafa-Ismail-Leong (RMIL) and Syarafina-Mustafa-Rivaie (SMR) methods. The proposed hybrid CG is evaluated as a convex combination of RMIL and SMR method. Their performance are analyzed under the exact line search. The comparison performance showed that the hybrid CG is promising and has outperformed the classical CG of RMIL and SMR in terms of the number of iterations and central processing unit per time..
