| 7971 | 2017 thesis | Kesahan dan kebolehpercayaan modul kuasa minda separa sedar berdasarkan aplikasi terapi kognitif tingkah laku dalam pembangunan remaja Parameswary Periasamy Kajian bertujuan untuk mengukur kesahan dan kebolehpercayaan Modul Kuasa Minda Separa Sedar berdasarkan Aplikasi Terapi Kognitif Tingkah Laku (MKMSSTKT) dalam Pembangunan Remaja. Reka bentuk kajian adalah kajian deskriptif, iaitu mencari nilai kesahan kandungan dan nilai kebolehpercayaan MKMSS-TKT dalam pembangunan remaja. Seramai lapan panel pakar dalam bidang psikologi, Kaunseling dan Pendidikan telah dipilih untuk menjawab dua soal selidik kesahan kandungan modul oleh Russell dan soal selidik kesesuaian sesi dan aktiviti modul oleh Mohammad Aziz Shah. Seterusnya bagi mencari nilai kebolehpercayaan, seramai 30 responden daripada sebuah sekolah menengah di Daerah Sentul, Kuala Lumpur telah dipilih sebagai subjek kajian. Dapatan mendapati peratus keseluruhan kesahan kandungan modul berdasarkan Russell adalah tinggi, iaitu 81 peratus, manakala kesahan kesesuaian sesi dan aktiviti berdasarkan Mohammad Aziz Shah ialah 88 peratus. | 7972 | 2017 thesis | Integrating the Islamic cognitive behavioural therapy (I-CBT) and its effectiveness in treating depression Olagoke, Salami Mutiu The study was aimed to develop a manualised treatment integrating the Islamic concept of hope, meaning and sense of gratitude into cognitive behaviour therapy (I-CBT) in treating depression among Muslims. Development of the therapeutic module was based on the Enriched Intervention Manual of Operations, and Cully and Teten’s Brief Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, which was validated by three experts in the field of clinical and Islamic psychology. The study also examined Muslims’ expression of depressive symptoms in relation to emotional and somatic complaints. Based on a mixed method research design, six Muslim participants from a military base in South-West Nigeria were selected through purposive sampling methods. The inclusion criteria for the study was English proficiency and a score of seventeen and above in the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI).
