Methodology: This study adopted a quantitative approach. Data collected from a sample of 400 students was analysed using structural equation modelling (SEM) in AMOS software. Main Findings: The findings reveal a high level of learner identity (LI), but a low level of customer identity (CI). LI has a significant and positive effect on AP and SLR. CI only has a significant and negative effect on AP. All the relationships do not differ significantly across public and private HEIs. Applications of this study: The findings provide useful information and insights to the HEIs on how SAL and SAC identity among students could be exploited so as to enhance educational quality and increase student retention, particularly..... 598 hits |

| 8338 | 2019 Article | Surface potential and temperature effect studies of homo- and copolysiloxanes through Langmuir Blodgett technique Faridah Lisa Supian Hydrophilic backbone chains with substituted hydrophobic organic groups give rise to amphiphilic polysiloxane. This property is of great interest as it can form a Langmuir monolayer, an orderly arranged layer that can be utilised in any potential nanoscale application. Hence, a study was conducted on the surface pressure, surface potential and effective dipole moment of various homopolysiloxane and copolysiloxane Langmuir films to clarify some of their monolayer properties. A NIMA Langmuir 611D trough accompanied with a NIMA surface potential (S-POT) probe was employed in this work. The space filling model, generally known as the Corey, Pauling and Koltun (CPK) precision molecular model, was used to construct the siloxanes unit of each set of polysiloxanes to estimate the siloxane unit size. From the surface pressure isotherm, it was observed that copolysiloxanes are more condensed than homopolysiloxanes. By comparing the results extrapolated from the graph with CPK modelling, the stru..... 1848 hits |
| 8339 | 2019 Article | The effectiveness of extensive assessment instruments on the psychomotor achievement levels for fielding category games in year 5 physical education subjects Azali Rahmat The purpose of this study was to identify the level of learning achievement in psychomotor domain by using Extensive Assessment Instruments (EAI) for fielding category games in Year 5 Physical Education subjects. One shot case study design was used in this study. This study was conducted at nine primary schools in Muar district of Johor with 8 Physical Education (PE) teachers and 570 Year 5 students in PE class involve as participant. The Extensive Assessment Instrument (r = 0.96) contained a rating rubric for the psychomotor domain. The percentage of teachers' agreement on the EAI use was 94.14%. The results of this study showed that the level of students achievement on psychomotor domain for fielding category games in PE subjects was (M = 68.33, SD = 0.87) at the mastery level. Based on these findings, EAI was ideally to used as a standardized measure for assessing student learning achievement in the fielding category games for Year 5 PE subject.. 1094 hits |
| 8340 | 2019 Article | The personality of digital games players among children based on the Brain Hex Model Ramlah Mailok The aim of this study is to develop a framework of children’s personality based on the BrainHex model that can help identify the personality of digital games players. A quantitative approach using a survey was used in this study involving a sample of 214 Malaysian children aged 8 – 10. The descriptive analysis used was based on mean scores and frequency. From the analysis, the research findings showed that among the BrainHex model’s characteristics, achiever, daredevil, and conqueror emerged as the most dominant characteristics. Surely, such findings have a major implication on the current practice in that the design of children digital games need to take into account such dominant personalities to ensure such games can help players, notably young players or children, to develop sound thinking skills.
