Standardized and optimized methods in preservation and storage of RNA samples on three different tissues were elucidated on fish tissues. The treatments used included excision of fresh tissues, preservation of tissues by immersing completely in RNAlater followed by immediate freezing at -80°C prior to RNA assays. Current data suggests that preserving fish tissues in RNAlater with subsequent storage at -80°C produced satisfactory amount of RNA from dorsal fin and gonad, but not from muscle tissues. The optimized method will provide an alternative storage method option and enables greater usage of RNAlater for preserving RNA from animal cells...

Kajian  ini  bertujuan  untuk  mengenal  pasti  tahap  motivasi,  minat,  sikap,  amalan pengajaran guru, pengetahuan Qirā’āt al-Sab‘ie dan hubungannya dengan tahap penguasaan Qirā’āt  al-Sab‘ie dalam kalangan pelajar Kelas Khas Membaca dan Menghafal al-Quran (KKQ) di Sekolah  Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) di negeri Perak. Kajian ini dijalankan di 20 buah sekolah dengan  melibatkan 308 responden yang terdiri daripada pelajar tingkatan dua. Kajian ini menggunakan  pendekatan kuantitatif dengan reka bentuk tinjauan berdasarkan Model Pembelajaran Al-Nawawi dengan  menggunakan dua instrumen iaitu satu set borang soal selidik dan ujian syafawi. It is stated that Instructional leaders are responsible for making sure that positive attitude towards change is organised and created among members of the school. The study aimed to identify the level of Instructional Leadership practices among principals of the National Religious Secondary School in Malaysia. A total of 365 respondents from 57 National Religious Secondary Schools were selected by systematic random sampling method to answer the questionaires. Data is analyzed by using descriptive statistics identifying the mean, standard deviation and percentage to recognise the level. The result showed that the level of Instructional Leadership practices is significantly high (mean=3.85, s.d.=0.41). In conclusion, the study found that the level of Instructional Leadership Practices is high among the principals of the schools. This study aimed to identify the effect of teacher self-efficacy on the readiness of teacher leadership. The study was quantitative in nature and used questionnaires as instruments in collecting data i.e. Teacher Self-Efficiency Scale and Teacher's Readiness. A total of 256 preservice teachers who were in the eighth semester at a public university were selected as a sample through a stratified sampling technique. The data were analyzed descriptively and inferential. The results showed that teachers' self efficacy (m = 6.91, s.d = 0.96) and teacher leadership readiness (m = 3.95, s.d = 0.40) were high. The quality of teaching model includes several important elements such as teaching knowledge, skills and attitudes. This study seeks to discover the level of teaching knowledge of preschool teachers. The methodology of the study is a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods. The instruments used were questionnaires, structured interviews and document analysis. 50 preschool teachers encompassing both private and public preschools answered the questionnaire, and only two preschool teachers were interviewed. The respondents of the study were identified using purposive random sampling. The results of the study found that 56% of teachers emphasised on one method of teaching, while 44% of teachers adopted various methods of teaching to help the children understand the learning content. Besides that, the teachers also chose a teaching method that is suitable to fulfil the learning needs of the children (56%) and fulfull need to learn in groups (54%). In modeling growth of crustaceans, we normally encounter some difficulties such as the discrete growth fashion due to a process called moulting. All hard shells are shed periodically that hinder us from determining the age of an individual. To this end, we consider tag and recapture method to quantify growth parameters of wild crustaceans. For tag-recapture data, a sample of population is captured, tagged and released to its natural habitat. The growth estimation can be challenging, since the exact moulting time is normally unobserved. In this context, the intermoult period is not available for tag-recapture data. There are numerous statistical methodologies can be used for parameter estimations, for instance, the Generalized Linear Model (GLM) and the Generating Estimation Equation (GEE) method. Kajian ini  bertujuan untuk  mengenal  pasti  hubungan di antara gaya keibubapaan berpendidikan tinggi dengan tahap kecerdasan emosi kanak-kanak tadika. Pendekatan kuantitatif  dengan reka bentuk tinjauan telah digunakan dalam kajian ini. Pemilihan lokasi kajian melibatkan  tiga buah tadika yang dipilih secara rawak dan bertujuan di daerah Petaling Utama, Selangor. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti hubungan antara Atribut Inovasi (AI), Kepimpinan Teknologi Guru (KTG) dan Integrasi Teknologi (IT) web di sekolah serta  pengaruh  AI sebagai  pengantara di antara KTG dan IT. Pendekatan kuantitatif dengan reka bentuk tinjauan telah digunakan  dalam kajian ini. Seramai 412 orang responden telah dipilih menggunakan dua peringkat persampelan  iaitu kluster dan berstrata. The  objective  of  this  research  is  to  propose  a  model  which  investigates  the relationship between the determining factors and Perceived Usefulness for ASYCUDA information  system in customs sector in Jordan. This research addresses seven determining factors. These  factors are System Quality, Information Quality, Service Quality, System Use, User Satisfaction,  Data Interchange Quality, and Training. This study seeks to explore and understand how learning is led among Orang Asli students that  contributed to their successful schooling progress despite  the deficit theorising of past research. Using Glaser’s Classic Grounded Theory method, the researcher explored  the learning process of Orang Asli students systemically, drawing upon their individual’s views of  realities of the process. Data are gathered from fieldwork, in-depth interviews with 16  participants, group interview, the relevant substantive literatures and documents. The findings  highlight an emerging theory of leading learning among Orang Asli students encompassing five main  strands of contributing leading learning roles involving parents, learners, kindergartens, schools,  and significant others.
